Roki was stuck. As a person, he felt the obligation to protect his friends. Dende, Krillin, and even Vegeta were struggling against Frieza who had quickly powered up to 50 percent of his power as soon as everyone began to attack. Roki had fought a smile. He'd seen a vision where Goku would've been confined to a regeneration tank on the ship and not show up until the bitter end. Luckily, thanks to his presence, that timeline was sucsessfully avoided.

Right now, the guardian was busy holding up a barrier that housed Dende and Krillin. The namek was busy healing the bald man who had gotten seriously wounded while fighting the evil alien. "Almost done Krillin, hang in there," Dende said as he finished closing the last wound. The bald man leapt to his feet the instant Dende was done and charged out of the protective sheild. "How are you holding up Roki?" The guardian only offered the child a smile before tensing up in concentration again.

"Just die already! You people are like insects! Why don't you stop fighting and let me crush you!!" Frieza fired shot after shot at Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta who had taken to the skies in order to prevent the evil alien from blasting the barrier Roki had made. Vegeta had made the mistake of redirecting a blast of Frieza's attack towards the smaller saiyan who in turn screamed at him to be careful unless he wanted the guardian to die. All three saiyans had tensed at the mere thought of Roki dieing and took the battle to the air.

'Curses! No matter what I do, they keep coming back!' Frieza angrily charged at Goku only to be attacked from behind by Gohan and Vegeta. The three saiyans we're powerful when they worked together. Frieza paused and suddenly grinned. 'They keep coming back because of the female and namek...' he thought. Frieza laughed maniacally . "Silly me! I forgot there are two more players in this game!" He purposefully shouted out. In the blink of an eye, Frieza disappeared and reappeared right in front of Roki and Dende with a blast in hand. "NO!! STOP!!" Gohan made a move to stop the evil alien but his father and Vegeta had beat him to it.

Roki tensed and shut his eyes. One hand pumped more Ki into the barrier while another grabbed Dende and held him close. The blast never came and all the guardian heard was a grunt followed by a roar. The guardian peeked an eye open and saw Goku successfully deliver a punch to Frieza's face which sent the alien flying. Vegeta had a more controlled reaction as he grabbed the alien mid air by his throat and blasted him with Ki.

Giving an angry huff, Goku turned to Roki and the guardian withheld a gasp when he saw that the mans iris's were ringed with red. Roki flinched when a hand reached out to rest against his barrier and Goku softly rumbled before flying off to join Vegeta in the battle. "He really cares about you..." mumbled Dende. Roki tried to squash that feeling of butterfly's. 'I love him...but I just can't...not again...' the saiyan thought with a sad smile.

After everything, falling for Goku, promises, abandonment, and then reuniting...it all felt unreal. Even now as he watched his charges fight, he felt as if he'd blink one moment and end up alone. Five years of loneliness don't go away within a few months, just how a thousand years of habit can't go away within a few years. Roki loved his charges. He loved having a body and feeling emotions that were his own. He loved having his own unique thoughts and beliefs, and it was the belief that he only existed for his charges that shaped him to what he was. 'It must be the best thing if it's gotten me this far...' Roki thought.

Standing firm in his beliefs, Roki was a second too late to react as earthcrushimg Ki invaded his senses. His barrier flickered for a brief second and that was all it took for a hand to brutally smash his barrier and grab him by the collar. His hand automatically went up to hit his captor but it was caught in a vice grip and all it took was a slight squeeze to snap his wrist in half.
