Goku awoke a few hours later while the sun began to rise. It took him a few minutes to clear his foggy mind. He realized that he was filthy and tried to remember what had happened because he vaguely remembered his time in the forest. All he remembered was pain and a figure laying in a pile of debree. His thoughts were interrupted when warmth slammed into him as if it was trying to bop him on the head. Goku laughed. He definitely remembered the warmth!

"Can you tell me what happened?" Goku looked directly at the barely visible transparent form that stood before him. 'Your Grandfather passed away Goku, but do not be sad. I shall guide you to your destiny,' the form said. Its echoing voice seemed slightly clearer. Goku frowned but found that he could express little emotion except a small speck of sadness. He looked questionably at the figure. 'You spent the last month mourning Goku. It is tme for you to move on and become the man your grandfather raised you to be,' the voice explained. Goku nodded. "Alright, but can you tell me what you are?" The form tilted its head in thought before answering. "I am bound to you in ways that time itself cannot understand. I exist only to nourish and guide you through your darkest moments and shall be your crutch should you ever fall and cannot get back up. I am your Guardian and it is an honor to guide someone as influential as yourself." The transparent form bowed to Goku.

The boy seemed confused before he grinned. "So basically you're my friend?" The figure sweatdropped. "In s-simpler terms, yes," the figure said. Goku cheered. "Awsome! Hey, since we're friends we should know eachothers names huh? You already know mine so what's yours?" Goku seemed eager to know its name so the figure smiled. "What would you like for my name to be?" Goku thought for a moment before answering. "Roki!"

The figure nodded and held out its hand. "Very well, it is a pleasure to meet you Son Goku." Goku smiled brightly. "Nice to meet you too," the boy said as he reached out to shake the hand. The moment he grabbed ahold of it, the figures formed broke like glass, revealing a much smaller and clearer one in its place. It now resembled a child about the same age as Goku but it would be up to Goku to decide what the figure would ultimately look like.

Goku eagerly tugged his new friend towards his house. He didn't know why but the moment he touched his friends hand, he was filled with limitless energy. His body had reversed the damage it had gone through and left him healthier than he's ever been.

The boy turned to his friend and saw the others confused face. It seems that the other was just as confused as he was. Goku shoved his confusion to the back of his mind and instead chatted a mile a minute to his friend about the fun things they would be doing from now on.

-Years Later-

Goku hummed happily as he dragged his latest catch home. "This will last us until dinner. Right Roki?" Goku turned to see his doppleganger walking beside him. Roki smiled and nodded. "You were very smart to think of using your tail to catch it," Roki praised. Goku felt warmth settle in his tummy and his cheeks heat up. He liked it when Roki praised him. It made him feel special.

Roki giggled when he felt his eyes turning pink. His charge was obviously feeling bashful.

Roki looked exactly like his charge since the child didn't know anyone else besides his deceased grandfather and assumed that all children looked like him. The only things that proved that Roki was his own person was the guardian's eyes, his slightly slimmer build, and milky skin. Since he was so infused with Goku's soul he could be considered the boy's soul mate, in we share the same body way.

Proof of his tight bond with his charge could be his eyes since they constantly changed colors to represent how the boy was feeling.

Roki snapped out of his train of thought when he felt his eyes change color again. They changed to a cautious orange. Roki immediately positioned himself in front of Goku and glared at the weird object in the distance. Goku frowned and instead pulled his doppleganger behind him. "Goku wha--" Roki shut up when Goku threw him a stern look. The noise the object made grew louder as it came closer.
