Chapter 12

Lily's POV

I hate that bitch, why'd she have too turn up now? Ethan has ditched me now, he'd rather go for drinks with Amelia.

"Max? What is your opinion on Dr Hardy?"

"I really like her Lily, we are going for drinks late tonight. Why?"

"No reason, what about Zoe? I thought you had a thing?"

"Me too but my Mum kind of put her off and as I think about it the age gap was ridiculous. Whereas Amelia is 4 years younger than me, Mum will like that and she has a good job."

"Oh. Good I guess" I said "talk too you later"

I made my way too talk to Zoe

"Hello Dr Hanna, I heard that you and Max are over." I ask her "are you not looking for anyone?"

"Yes, I'm afraid we are the age gap was just too much. Why'd you ask?"

"Oh just with Max and Amelia and everything. I think he really likes her"

"What! Amelia and Max?"

"Yeah, they both seem to really like each other

"I can't believe that cheeky bitch!"

Zoe's POV

The cheek of her! I didn't know she felt like that towards Max, my Max...

I went to find Amelia straight away...

"Who do you think you are? The new young pretty girl walking in and and going with the first man you see?" I said shouting in reception

"Excuse me?" She replied angrily

"Max, he's just left me for you!"

"And how is that my fault? Anyways, we are only going for drinks...he hasn't asked me out or anything" Amelia said  confused

"It's your fault!" I said, still shouting

"Calm down Zoe! I haven't done anything wrong" Amelia said calmly, "can we talk somewhere else?"

"Come to my office!" I replied.

Amelia's POV

We made our way to Zoe's office...

"Zoe, I swear I didn't know that you were with Max. I wouldn't have agreed to go out for drinks with him! I do think I like him though..."

"He just came up to me and said that he couldn't go out with me any longer because he found someone he truly liked...you.." Zoe replied. upset

"Don't be upset Zoe, its not worth it! He's only a man"

"I'm sorry, I thought he really liked me but I guess he likes you better." Zoe said

"Don't be sorry! I don't think you'd want me to go for drinks with him tonight?" I asked

"Oh no, definitely go! You's would be amazing together"

"Thank Zoe, really" I said hugging her. "Can I take my break now? I need to talk to Max."

"Of course, you have 30 minutes. When youre done clock in again, make sure you clock out first, them pick up a file and get straight back to work."
