I was awoken by a harsh knock coming from my bedroom door. My eyes fluttered as I tried to adjust to my sudden conciousness. My phone lit up as I pressed the home button, reading ten o'clock, a little too early for my liking.

"Come in," I groaned, not even caring how horrific my morning voice sounded.

My mom walks in with an unpleasant look on her face, which probably means she's coming to tell me something that I don't want to hear.

"Hey honey, sorry to wake you but I came to tell you that your father just got a call, and we're going to have to drive down to the city for the weekend. Some emergency surgery that we have to attend too. Will you be alright for the rest of the weekend?" She asks.

"Yeah I'll be fine, just go," I say and lay my head back down on my pillow. Their absence was expected so it's not much of a disappointment, but a pang of sadness still hit my chest.

I wait for a response from my mom, but it never comes. When I look up she is already gone. It seems as if every interaction I have with my parents becomes shorter and shorter. There aren't many moments anymore that they aren't consumed with work, or something more important than me.

I want so badly to cry out for them. For them to realize how much pain I'm consumed in, and for them to just crave my presence, but I can wish as long as I want too, it will never happen.

I decide to get up since my body won't let me go back to sleep once I'm already awake. Quickly throwing on some fuzzy socks, I run down the stairs and walk into the kitchen. After I pour myself a bowl of cereal I sit down in my dining room and eat. When I'm finished, I go upstairs and decide to get ready for the day.

A couple swipes of mascara on my eyelashes finishes my look for the day. I feel pleased with my reflection, so I grab my purse and walk out the door. Little did I know, forgetting to lock the door would be my biggest mistake.

♡♡♡

I skipped two steps walking up to my door, as the crisp fall air was nipping at my exposed knees. Much to my surprise, the door was slightly cracked. Something in my gut told me this wasn't right, but I just assumed I forgot to lock it and the wind pushed it open.

I walked in and listened closely for anything suspicious, but was met with a normal silence. Closing the door behind me, I sat down on the hardwood floors and took off my shoes.

As I was walking down the hall to my room, I scrolled through my social media, but was abruptly pushed into something hard and fell to the floor. When I looked up, a man with an evil smirk was looking at me. His long curly hair and dimples should've given off a sweet feeling, but the look behind his eyes gave me a truthful insight into this man.

I was scared speechless. I tried to scoot away from him, but he took a step forward as I scooted away from him. We went as far as we could go before my back hit the wall.

"This isn't getting us anywhere, hm love?" His deep voice said to me.

He bent down to my level and swiped his thumb across my cheek, to wipe away tears I never even knew had fell.

"P-please don't hurt me. M-my father has a safe with money, whatever you want I'll give you." I said stuttering in fear.

"Silly girl, I have enough money to buy the world. That's not what I'm after." He said, staring me in the eyes.

"W-what do you want then?" I asked, even though I knew I wouldn't want to hear his answer.

"You."

The moment those words left his lips I screamed and ran into my room. He let me run right past him, which made me question his plan but all my thoughts were answered when I ran into my room and another man was sitting on my bed. Behind him was a man packing my things in a  large duffle bag. They both looked up at me, and I could see pity in both of their eyes.

I backed up slowly and when my back had been met with something hard, I knew who it was. Tears threatened to fall and I just let them, not caring how weak I looked.

He put his hand over my mouth, and I screamed anyways thinking maybe it could help me some. He wrapped his other arm around my body and lifted me up to his chest. I thrashed my legs around trying to put up a fight but I knew it was no good.

All three men in the room laughed at me, which made my face heat up in embarrassment.

"Liam hand me the rag, let's get this over with." Said the man who was holding me, as he reached out his hand.

The man who I now knew as Liam, handed him a white rag and I began to struggle in his grip.

He replaced his hand with the rag and I inhaled in the horrible toxins. After a couple breaths, my eyes began to droop and I felt sleepy.

I was thrown over his shoulder and he carried me downstairs. Sleep soon took over me and the last thing I remember was being layed down in the back seat of a car.
