Rejected at First Sight

Chapter 2

5 years later...

Ash and I have been together for 5 years now. We got married 2 years ago. I wanted to wait until after graduation. I knew that I didn't need to but I wanted to. I didn't need to go to college, because I've been officially handed the title, Luna of the pack. Dean had been promoted third in command and dad was now Ash's adviser in everything or you could say he was his right hand man. Mom stayed home with me and keeps me company when all 3 boys are away. Which has been very often lately. "Baby, I'm home can you come downstairs." I ran downstairs to find my perfect mate standing in the door. I ran and I tackled him. He had been gone for 3 weeks now. He gave me a look and I didn't like it. "What does that look mean?" "Follow me." Uh-oh. This isn't good.

We walked up to his office. He sat in his chair and pulled me down to sit in his lap. I complied of course. He sighed. "What's wrong, honey?" "I have some bad news and your definitely not going to like it. The reason I've been gone a lot these past few months is because there's this pack that needs help and the council has ordered us to help them." "Ok? How does that effect me?" "Because the alpha, his mate, and everyone else they seems fit must go. Which means I have to take you and your brother and Jared and the guys to the Blue Moon pack and help them out with their problems." I paled. All the blood in my face ran cold. Ash gave me a big squeeze and comforted me. I finally regained all sense that  I had lost.

 "Well that's that I guess. So is dad staying here to take care of the pack then?" Ash looked at me funny and said,"Ya I want Jared, Dean, and Will to come and help me train their pack to be better. Are you sure your ok to go back there?" "Yes, babe I'm fine. I have you. I'll finally get to see Mimi again. I've talked to her ya, but I would like to see her. Plus I have some news for you." He looked at me with curiosity. "And what would that be?" I moved his hand from my hip to my stomach and said,"It won't just be me and you going. We have someone else coming to." I smiled.  He looked at me in awe and happiness. "Are you sure? I'm going to be a dad? You're pregnant?" "Yes to all of those." I laughed. "Mom figured it out before I did. I'm only 6 weeks." He turned me towards him and hugged me tightly. "Can't.. Breathe.." He let go and then lifted me and twirled me around. "I can't believe I'm going to be a dad!" 

That night he held me closer. I knew this was just the beginning of his over-protectiveness.  The next morning we had all packed and started headed towards my personal hell. We got there in 10 hours by plane. I remember the run from there. I ran just to come back. How depressing. We rolled up to the pack house. I took in a deep breathe. Ash held my hand and gave my forehead a kiss. He smiled and led me up to the door. He knocked and all of us waited outside. The maid opened the door and lead us to the place I knew would hold Viktor. 

When we walked into the room, I could smell Viktor. I was hoping that my smell would be different since my scent was now mixed with Ash's. Ash put his arm around me protectively and Dean walked beside me with a clenched fist and jaw. We walked up to Viktor his jaw dropped. "Jocelyn?" I nodded,"Yup its me." "What are you doing here, why is he holding you that way, why do you smell like him?" I could feel Ash get angry and he answered,"She is my mate, when you rejected her, you didn't know of her bloodline. It gave her a second mate, me. She smells like me because we are mated and expecting our first pup." Viktor looked at me with hurt in his eyes. I was surprised I didn't feel guilty one bit. He did this to himself. "Well, I guess that's that huh?" "Yup Viktor you lost your chance sorry." I said. Dean then said,"Hate to break up this little, whatever but we have come a long way and I for one would like some rest. As you know my sister is pregnant and she needs her rest." Viktor looked at him too. "Of-of course. "Lucy! Show them their rooms." 

We got into our room and Ash hugged me from behind. "You did good. Man I can't wait til you start showing." I laughed. "It feels weird knowing that she is growing inside me." "She?" "Ya I feel like it's a she." He laughed at me. "We have only about 3 and half months left til we meet her." I laughed. It was true, I forgot that werewolf pregnancies last only 4 months. That scared me. "It's ok. Hopefully we will be home when it comes. Don't worry, baby. I'll be here." I smiled at him and kissed him. "Thank you Ash. You mean so much to me. I love you so much and you will be the best father this baby  could ask for." He kissed me. 

We continued kissing until we heard a knock. Ash growled and said,"Come in." It was Viktor. "Hey can I talk to Jocelyn for a minute or so?" I nodded at the same time Ash said."No!" I got up anyways. I gave Ash a deep kiss and left. I looked at Viktor who looked hurt, but like I said no guilt whatsoever. Jocie let me know if you need me. I rolled my eyes and smiled. Ok, honey I will. Don't worry to much. 

I followed Viktor down to his office. "So what do you want?" Viktor sighed. "I wanted to apologize for what I did to you. I..." "No, I'm glad you did. I wouldn't have met Ash and have the perfect family I've always wanted." " But Jocelyn, you were supposed to be mine!" "Yours!? Yours!? The second you saw me, you rejected me and said I was a disgrace. I wouldn't take you back even I hadn't found Ash. Understand?!" I stormed out of there. I couldn't believe him. Who does that? I ran into Dean and he could see my distress.

"Sis, whats wrong?" I told him and he got mad."Dean calm down. We don't need you going off the deep end again. I can't lose you again. My baby needs their Uncle Dean in their life." He sighed. "I'm sorry. But after my mate died, I couldn't help it." "I know. Believe me, I know all to well what it feels like to think your never going to have another chance at love. But remember what dad said about our bloodline? Our bloodline is made so that this bloodline won't ever disappear. You have someone out there for you I promise." He smiled and hugged me. "Thanks lil sis. Who knew that my sister would have such wise information." I rolled my eyes and elbowed him. He laughed. "Alright I'm going to bed. Me and baby need sleep, plus Ash is going to go crazy if I'm not back soon." Dean agreed and said goodnight.
