Rejected at First Sight

Chapter 4

When we got there, there was a spot I knew was built just for me. I looked at Ash. "Babe, you didn't have to built a tent. I would've been fine with a towel under a tree." He laughed. "I know but then I thought about our baby and I couldn't let you get to hot, but I did leave you an extra blanket in case you didn't want to sit in the tent." I melted. I kissed me on the lips. We got lost for a second and then I remembered Mimi. I broke away and he groaned. "Now get out there and kick some lazy butt!" I slapped his butt as he ran towards Viktor. Viktor gave him a hard glare and gave me a longing look. I just ignored him. "Hey lil sis, You can't keep your hands off your mate for one second can you?" I laughed. "Listen hear you butthead, I love my mate very much and I'll kiss him whenever and where ever I please." Dean laughed. I loved seeing him laugh. It made me feel like I was closer to getting my whole brother back. "Now mister, get down there and help my mate ground those wolves so I can be home when I give birth!" "Yes ma'am." I laughed as he ran towards Ash. 

I looked at Mimi and she looked shocked. "What?" She didn't answer. I pulled her towards the tent. After we got in, I attacked her with the question I had been wondering since I left her house. "Why the hell are you with Scott when he isn't your mate?" She looked at me. "How did you know that?" "Mimi, I've known you most of my life and I can see through your lies. Now start talking." She sighed. "After you left, I was a mess. I knew why you left and Viktor was trying to talk to me, asking where you were, and if you were ok. I never answered him. One day I guess he was tired that I never answered him and he lost it. Scott got in the middle and saved me. After that  we started talking and that led to feelings. We started dating and it got pretty serious. I thought he was going to be my mate and when I turned 16 nothing. He got angry, that's when it started. He hit me that night and after he calmed down and said he would never do that again. He didn't for awhile. Then the rogue attack happen and I lost my parents and he was there and that night we slept together. A couple weeks later I found out I was pregnant. I told him and he could've been happier. Then one day I was out shopping looking for stuff for the baby. I was halfway through the pregnancy. I turned around and ran into a guy. Well I felt sparks and tingles. I looked at him and he looked at me with a happy face. Then he looked at my round tummy. He was hurt and I could feel it. I knew that he was my mate and that he knew I was pregnant and with someone else's baby. He looked at me in shame and said those dreaded words. I accepted because there was no way that Scott would allow it anyways. When I got home, Scott was very angry and he hit me again, this time it was harder and I flew onto the floor. I woke up two weeks later to learn that I lost the baby. I was broken. Scott came into the room and said I was the reason our son was gone. I cried and I knew that he broke me. So I've been with Scott because no one will have me."

After she wiped most of her tears off her face. I finally had the courage to talk. "Mimi, You are coming home with me. I don't care what you, Scott, or even Viktor say. I shouldn't have left you alone here. You wanted to come and I..." "Stop it Joce, I don't blame you." I started crying. How could my best friend go through something like that. The next thing I know I hear the zipper ripe open. "Baby, Jocie, you ok?" Come out, Dean and I need to see you." I sighed and rolled my eyes. Of course Ash would feel my pain and tell Dean about it, knowing them they just rushed up here. I got out of the tent and Mimi followed. Ash pulled me into a hug and searched my eyes. "I'm fine, I promise. Mimi and I were just talking about girl stuff and my hormones are everywhere. Calm down babe." He sighed. " I don't know I just felt your pain and I panicked." I kissed him and kissed him hard. He responded and pulled me harder against him. We were interrupted by moaning that wasn't our own. We stop and the sight next to us was something we didn't expect to see. Mimi was kissing my brother and not in a very pg-13 type of way.  

"What the hell!" The next thing any of us know Scott is ripping Dean off Mimi. "That's my mate!" Dean growled and did the unthinkable. He challenged Scott for Mimi. Him being a Darkwood, the old ways were engraved in his brain even though most packs didn't use them anymore. Scott being the dumb pup he accepted. When they started everyone that was supposed to be training was now in a circle around Dean and Scott and was watching. Scott took the most predictable shots at Dean. Dean being trained in a way no werewolf had been trained could tell even before it crossed Scott's mind. I couldn't watch. I knew my brother would win. But I didn't like seeing him fight. Ash brought me to him and hid my face in his chest knowing what I was feeling. I could still hear the growling and barking. Ash was whispering in my ear trying to make me hear something else. I pulled him closer. I was grateful for him. 

After what felt like hours I heard "Dean won." I looked and Scott was just lying there. He was breathing but not very heavy. I looked at Dean and he went straight to Mimi. He asked her something and she nodded. Then he walked up to me and I flung myself into his arms. "I'm sorry." He said into my ear many times. He knew how I felt and he didn't like upsetting me. I hugged him harder. When we pulled apart he kissed my forehead and I smiled. He then walked back to Mimi and told her something. She nodded again and then he yelled,"Get back to training we're done here. " I could here the groans. I looked at Ash and I gave him a quick kiss. He headed back towards where everyone was picking back up their training.
