When Katniss returned to District Fourteen, she felt empty. She felt like she would never gonna be happy again after what had just happened a few hours before. All those children, woman and men dead. Just because they were fighting for a better live.
The girl still has her black uniform on and her hair was still in a braid, when President Coin was about to hold a speech. Velren's posture was upright as he stood next to Coin, who was standing next to Katniss. The video that they had filmed in district eight was playing , showing them what has happened that morning.
Applause erupted from the citizens ofDistrict Fourteen when the video came to an end.
Coin,Velren and Katniss walked forwards to the podium to adress the roaring crowd. A quiet falling over them once more as they stared intensely at The Girl On Fire and The Boy On Fire before President Coin stepped in front of the microphone to hold her speech.
"There is no such thing as progress without compromise," Coin said and took the hands of Velren and Katniss as she looked out into the crowd. "No such thing as victory without sacrifice. And I stand here with The Mockingjay and The Phoenix to announce that after all this time, our moment has finally arrived!"
The gray-haired woman raised their joined fists above their heads, and the crowd erupted once more in applause. Katniss and Velren smiled, and when the clapping and shouting stopped, they left the podium and went to join the others, who stood a few metres further back.
Coin continued her speech, "Beetee has increased our use of the air waves tenfold. We will broadcast this message to all the districts tonight. The Mockingjay and The Phoenix's words inspiring everyone to join the rebellion. Together we will become an allience to be reckoned with."
