You were over at Zoe and Alfie's place and for your surprise, Joe was there as well. You two were quite good friends but you knew he fancied you which was kinda hard to deal with since you didn't see him like that. He always tried to take you out on dates and was pretty flirty with you as well but you rejected him every time, he never got upset with it cause he knew what he was doing. You knew he would never give up until you gave him a chance but you just couldn't give in, yet.

You were sitting on the couch with Joe and he put his arm around your shoulders which made you laugh, "Come on, just one date." he whined. "Joe, I said no." you shook your head with a grin making him pull you closer. "You'll change your mind, don't you worry." he grinned. He was confident, probably the most confident person you know. "Don't be so sure." you hit his chest playfully before Zoe turned to talk to you, "Y/N, can you go get the juice from the fridge? I'll be in the garden with Alfie, I already got some fruit salad ready for us." she smiled and walked outside to the garden. You nodded and got up to walk over to the kitchen and noticed Joe following you. "Want some help babe?" he winked. "Joe, shut up." you rolled your eyes before opening the fridge to get the juice. You grabbed four glass cups as well and made your way to the garden. Joe wrapped his arm around your waist, not leaving your side. "Make me." he whispered into your ear which made you push him with your elbow before you laughed.

You placed the juice and the glasses on the table and gave Zoe a soft smile before Joe grabbed your arm pulling you back into the house, "Don't be like that." he slightly tickled your sides. "Joeeee, you know I hate when you tickle me. Don't do that." you said grabbing his hands. He took your hands in his before intertwining your fingers together pulling you closer to him. "Just one chance and if you're like 'No, this is not working out.' I'll drop it and move on." Joe whispered before letting go of your hands and placing his on your cheeks, softly stroking your lips with his thumbs. "Joe.." you put your hands on his elbows looking up into his beautiful blue eyes. "Come on." he leaned down closer to you with every word and for the first time, you felt yourself craving his lips against yours. "Fuck it." you whispered before pressing your lips against his. Joe wrapped his arms around your waist making your hands wander through his soft hair. You lips moved in sync slowly and softly, making you smile into the kiss.

After what seemed like ages you released your lips from his and looked up at him with your arms wrapped around his neck, "Wow, I can't believe I've been missing out on this all this time." you whispered with a quiet laugh. "So, does that mean I can finally take you out on a date?" he licked his lips before pulling your body closer. "Never thought I'd say this but, yes you can take me out on a date." you smiled. "This is the best day of my life." he laughed before pressing his lips back against yours.
