"Happy Birthday!" you heard all of your friends shout as you walked into Caspar and Joe's flat. You had just turned twenty and Caspar, who was your brother, invited you over to his flat to apparently "help him out with something". Turns out he just wanted to surprise you, along with all your other friends and Joe of course. You and Joe had been secretly dating for a few months now and no one knew about it, you hadn't even told Zoe which was quite weird considering you usually told her everything and trusted her with your life.

Everyone came up to you giving you hugs and pecks on the cheeks, "Oh my God, guys." you had a huge smile on your face. "My little one is not so little anymore." Zoe pouted as she gave you a tight hug. "Always gonna be your little one, Zo." you laughed before hugging her back. "I would hope so." she smiled when you suddenly felt a soft grip around your arm from behind, making you turn around.

"I'll leave you two alone." Zoe said with a slight laugh before she left, leaving you alone with Joe. "Come with me." Joe grinned as he grabbed your hand and quietly walked downstairs towards his room before shutting the door.

"Happy birthday, baby." he smiled as he grabbed your hips and leaned down to press his lips against yours. You couldn't help but smile before you kissed him passionately. Your fingers wandered through his soft hair as you felt his arms slide around your waist securely, holding you in his arms.

You were so focused on Joe's lips and he obviously was focused on yours, that you both didn't hear Caspar storm through the door into the room, "Hey Joe, have you seen.. Wait, what the hell?" Caspar's words caused you to break away from the kiss quickly. "What the hell is going on here?" he sounded confused and angry at the same time. "Caspar, we can explain." you said with a soft voice. "Explain what? That my best friend is obviously dating my sister and they both didn't tell me shit?" Caspar shook his head in disappointment before leaving the room. "Caspar.." you sighed. "Let me do that." Joe gave you a quick kiss before walking after Caspar.

"Mate, wait." he said once they both left Joe's room, standing in the hallway. "I swear if you hurt her you're a dead man." Caspar said as he turned around to face Joe. "Come on, you know me better than that. I love her, I would never hurt her I promise you that." Joe explained. "It's just, she's my little sister and you know I'm protective over her. You could've told me, I would understand." Caspar chuckled slightly. "Yeah, I know. We just thought you might get angry but I just want you to know that she makes me happy and I just really wanna be with her. I hope you understand." Joe said with a half smile.

"I get it, I want you both to be happy and if your relationship makes you happy then I'm happy man." Caspar nodded his head, giving Joe a pat on his shoulder before walking back upstairs to the rest of the group.

You slowly walked out of Joe's room and towards him before grabbing his hands, "You okay babe?" you asked him. "Yeah, I'm good, he said he's happy for us so it's all good." Joe nodded his head as he pressed his lips against yours, making you smile once again.
