"I'm so excited!" Zoe exclaimed as you were on your way to a camping place for the weekend with Alfie and Joe. You were driving so you had to focus on the road, "Me too Zo, we're almost there." you giggled while concentrating on the road. "What are you? 5?" Joe chuckled from the backseat. "You're a prick." Zoe turned back to hit him playfully. "You're both 5." Alfie laughed.
You reached your destination about half an hour later and got out of the car with your bags and all the equipment. "There's probably so many bugs out here." you whined before Joe came up to you and softly kissed your head."I'll protect you babe." he chuckled as you all walked to your served camping spot.
"Don't worry Y/N, we're gonna have fun." Zoe said as she gave you a side hug. You jokingly rolled your eyes before you got ready to set up the tent you and Joe would sleep in. "Alright, how does this work?" you laughed. "I'll do this with Alfie, don't worry about it love." Joe grinned as him and Alfie started setting up the tents.
Around the evening and after some struggle and failure, the two boys finally finished setting up the two tents. You all sat around the camping fire as you were roasting marshmallows and talked about anything and everything. Joe had his arm around you and you rested your head on his shoulder as Zoe and Alfie were cuddled up across the both of you, "Today was fun." you smiled before you took a bite from the marshmallow that instantly melted in your mouth. "I told you!" Zoe grinned. "But I'm pretty tired now, I think I'll go get some sleep. Goodnight lovebirds." Zoe waved at you and Joe before she disappeared in her tent with Alfie.
"How're you feeling, baby?" Joe smiled down at you before you brought the rest of the marshmallow up to his mouth, making him eat it slowly. "I'm great, how are you?" you giggled as you wrapped your arms around his torso and placed a kiss on his cheek. "So am I. But we should probably get some sleep as well, it's late." he chuckled while he got up and gently pulled you up with him.
You both crawled into the tent before you laid down beside each other, "Goodnight, princess." Joe whispered into your ear as he softly kissed your lips and pulled the covers over the both of you. "Goodnight." you smiled and kissed him back before you drifted off to sleep in his arms.
