Drunk (Part 2)

You woke up in the middle of the night, around 3 am maybe, still laying in Joe's arms. You had a big headache but at least you were sober, which you were quite glad about.

"Joe." you whispered as you softly shook him to wake him up in a gentle way. He slowly opened his eyes and turned on the small light next to his bed to look at you, "Y/N, hey. You okay?" he asked with a tired voice, making you shrug your shoulders. "I don't know, my head hurts and I can't fall back asleep." you said quietly before sitting up. Joe sat up after you as well and looked at you, "Well, what do you wanna do?" he chuckled as he wrapped one arm around your shoulders to pull you closer to him.

"I wanna take a night walk on the beach but it's late and probably cold over there." you said before you saw Joe getting off the bed slowly. "Let's go, I'll give you my hoodie." he smiled as he grabbed a hoodie from his closet and handed it to you. "Wait, are you-" you were about to say something before Joe cut you off, "Nah, let's go." he chuckled, "I'll wait for you at the door." Joe kissed the top of your head quickly before walking out of the room.

You just smiled at yourself as you put on Joe's hoodie. It was warm and cozy and it smelled like him. You walked upstairs and made your way to Joe before he grabbed your hand and walked out of the flat. It was windy and quite cold outside, "Oh man, it is cold indeed." Joe chuckled and put his arm around your shoulders to keep you warm. "We can go back and just lay in bed until we fall back asleep, I don't wanna keep you up if you're tired." you frowned as you looked at him.

"Has there ever been a thing I haven't done for you?" he grinned down at you making you blush slightly. "Probably not, I just feel bad for waking you up." you said as you leaned your head against Joe's shoulder. "I'm all good, beautiful. Don't worry about me." he smiled before he softly pecked your forehead.

You two reached the beach about 15 minutes later and it was quite breezy. The moon reflected on the black water and the waves were hitting the shore. You and Joe sat down on a huge rock near the water as you looked across the ocean, "I've never been to the beach at this time." he chuckled as he turned his face to look at you. "Neither have I, it's beautiful though." you smiled keeping eye contact with the water. "Not as beautiful as you." Joe whispered into your ear before slowly taking your hand in his and intertwining your fingers together.

You suddenly felt butterflies in your stomach before you gently squeezed Joe's hand, "You're cheesy." you giggled as you looked into his eyes. "You bring it out of me." Joe chuckled, leaning closer to your face until your lips were just a few inches away from his. "Thank you for last night, by the way. I don't even know what I was saying but I'm glad you were there for me." you smiled as you put your free hand on Joe's cheek. "It was funny, we laughed a lot so I enjoyed it. You also told me to kiss you, which I should probably do now." Joe said quietly before softly pressing his lips against yours.

You moved your lips in sync slowly and passionately as your fingers made their way through Joe's hair. His arms slid around your waist securely, holding your body close to his.

Joe slowly released his lips from yours after a while to catch his breath, "No, give me more kisses." you whined as you looked at him. "I'd kiss you every second of the day if breathing wasn't important, babe." Joe chuckled before pecking your lips a few times, making you smile into the small kisses.

"I just realized how much I actually love you." you giggled as you whispered against Joe's lips. "Oh, so you didn't know you loved me before?" he joked and rubbed the back of your hand with his thumb gently. "Like, I just now realized that I love you more than just a friend." you laughed before you playfully hit his chest with your hand. "I'm glad the feelings mutual then, cause I love you." he smiled at you before wrapping his arms around you tightly and placing a soft kiss on top of your head.

You two spend some more time at the beach just talking, cuddling and exchanging small kisses every now and then. And you totally didn't regret getting drunk after that night.
