Five minutes later, everyone returned to the theater room. Taking their usual spots, there were some changes in terms of expressions, such as Richter and Annette. They were a little awkward with each other, shifting in their seats, avoiding eye contact, possibly from the accidental kiss. Maria and Julia saw their behavior and found it amusing. Maria nudged Richter with her elbow, "So how was the date?"
Richter blushed and looked away, "Shut it, pipsqueak." Maria just giggled while Julia laughed behind the back of her hand.
Leon and Trevor both saw this and had a chuckle. Normally, the two never really cared about romance, but because of this station, because of the chances they've been given, it's allowed them to find more enjoyment out of things outside of their comfort zone. Such as being interested in the love lives of their descendants.
Lenore giggled with a smile behind a hand fan she had found while petting Snowy on her lap. "Oh my, they are adorable."
Hector, who was next to her, was just confused as he tilted his head slightly which caused his fellow Forgemaster Isaac to just sigh as he pinched the bridge of his nose.
Soon the Director and Willow returned and took their seats, followed by Ace who cleared his throat. "Right, everyone here?" He looked around, but noticed that Olrox was missing from the audience. "Huh, we're missing one."
"Let him be." The Director said, "If he does not wish to join us, then that is his choice."
Ace nodded. "Very well, sir. Today's viewing is an exciting one. You'll be watching an episode of Death Battle. A series of simulated battles between figures from multiple different pieces of media."
That got the expected hands raised by the intellectuals "So when you say simulated I assume this is something created to collect knowledge and preparations for such things?" Asked Morana.
The Director stroked his chin. "Well yes, in fact it was proposed to me by a couple of rather interesting people. One was a scientist who believed it would help produce data to help DACA prepare for such events and allow us to counter or even prevent them from spiraling out of control."
Sypha raised her hand as she asked, "And the other person? Surely they are fellow scholars as well, yes?"
"No." The Director flat out said with a dry tone.
That caused them to want to ask more questions, but just from the tone, it was a wise decision to simply watch and judge for themselves. "So what is this simulated battle between?" Dracula asked, his hand intertwined with Lisa's.
The Director's smile returned to his face, "Ah a rather interesting one, Dracula, or well... a Dracula facing off against a wise and powerful wizard."
Morana and a few others perked up "Really?" The Director was silent for a few moments before he burst out laughing.
"Sorry, I couldn't hold it." He waved his hand. "No, no, he's fighting someone similar to him."
Dracula raised an eyebrow at that, as did the Belmonts. "Similar to me? As in a monster bent on spreading darkness throughout the land?"
The Director clapped his hands. "Nailed it." He said, channeling a little bit of a certain Crimson vampire. Willow was at his side with her mouth covered as her shoulders jerked, trying to hold in her laughter.
Ace cleared his throat, "Very amusing sir. Let's start the program." VEGA appeared and announced.
"Beginning Playback of Death Battle, episode 116."
Everyone was ready, the scholars had note pads at the ready, and the Belmonts... were being Belmonts.
The screen turned on to reveal the title:
