Here I was, in this beautiful Kingdom, runned by my abusive grandmother and rushing into an arranged marriage with one of the most eligible bachelors in this Kingdom.

Yes, I wouldn't mind having to marry Sir Tiago Alveiro, he is beautiful... but is he faithful? Is he as kind and caring as he seems to be? Vampires can be brutal and I've seen what Tiago is capable of doing.

"Princess?"

I looked over to the door, where a pretty young woman with a French maid's uniform stood.

I scanned her uniform in shock.

"Are you really wearing that?" I asked

She giggled and came in, shutting the door.

"I'm Glorina." she introduced herself casually, without being bothered by my title which was refreshing.

"I'm Rochelle." I said, sitting up on my bed.

She went into my bathroom and started running my bath.

"I know. Tiago sent me to help you. Something tells me that it will be a very special night." she said, wiggling her eyebrows.

"I guess..."

"You're getting engaged to Tiago Alveiro. His been single since 5 years ago and nobody knew why. He then agreed to be a spy for the Queen. It was a great honour." she exclaimed with a big smile.

"A spy?"

"Yes. To spy on you, of course. He had to go undercover. It was fated for you two to be married. His your Beloved." she explained.

My beloved?

"You know awfully much about my life, Glorina."

"I know! It's no secret though, there's always a leak. Your people know." she said.

She then went to the bathroom and turned off the taps.

"I will lay your different dresses out on the bed. You could mix and match whatever you like. The Queen took the liberty of getting you your new wardrobe as she does not approve of the things you wore."

I scanned my appearance and realised that I was still wearing my school attire. Well, obviously no one was going to take me serious in this clothing.

"You should know that we are not allowed to wear pants. Women of status is especially not allowed to. It symbolises power, which we're not supposed to have."

"Wait, what?" I asked, taken aback by this idiotic rule. They need to get with the western way of doing things. "My grandmother is the Queen, how does she have the right to power?"

Glorina rolled her eyes at me and pulled me to the bathroom.

"She had to marry a King. Her parents needed the recognition. You're lucky that you're born into royalty. The people are more accepting because of that fact. The problem is, the King you're supposed to marry is our enemy." she explained. She wandered around the bathroom, taking out cotton towels and new cherry fragranced bath soaps. "Therefore, you're marrying Sir Alveiro. His status is not that high but he is rightfully next in line. The royal blood line is running out fast."

All this news came as a shock to me. I did not think that there was any politics behind this matter.

"So how do you think we could extend that line?" I asked out of curiosity.

"By breeding, of course."

"Vampires can have babies?" I asked, dumbfounded.

"Well yes. Vampire babies take about 4 months to develop. You'll be able to give birth quite quickly. Do bare in mind, vampire babies tend to claw their way out if you keep them in there for too long." she warned and I guess my facial expression gave my feelings away.
