Waking up to the rays of the sun that shone through the curtains was slightly annoying. It's been two days since my disastrous photoshoot and my conversation with Liam. It left me feeling scared and even a little bit uneasy. I heavily lacked proper sleep.

At LaBay, I could hardly engage in conversation. As much as I lied through my teeth about me being okay, I knew Lawla believed otherwise. She could often read my emotions like an open book but telling her was not an option. She would freak out if she found out that I'm half vampire and a Princess. Not to mention also moving out (against my own will, of course) and to forget about my life.

"Rise and shine. Here, I brought you coffee and toast." said Lawla, placing the tray on my lap after sitting up.

"Morning. This looks yummy, thanks!" I thanked, grateful for her kind heart. "What's the time?"

She looked down at her wrist watch, "It's 07:00 am" she said. "Are you going to class today?"

"Yeah, I probably should."

Lawla nodded and went to my closet, taking out my school attire and laid it out onto my bed.

Strangely, she hasn't said much at all. Something wasn't right. She automatically walked out of my room, taking an apparent phone call.

After showering, I stared at my wet, naked reflection. My skin was still as tanned, but I couldn't help to notice that I did, in fact, look a bit lighter.

I let my fingers trail from my face, down to my neck and then my breasts. I thought about Tiago and how his touch sent sparks throughout my body. I closed my eyes and inhaled deeply, sliding my hands further down, involuntarily moaning softly.

Then I thought about Tiago being the brutal vampire and how he mutilated the men. Men who probably had wives and children to return back home to. I shuddered.

"Oh, Tiago" I thought, "how could a man so kind, be so cruel?"

"Rochelle, get done, we're going to be late! It's 7:30 am!" shrieked Lawla from outside the bathroom door.

"Get to the car, I'll be out in five minutes!" I yelled, shocked that I even took this long.

Racing over to the elevator and nearly tripping in the process, I got there only for me to be bummed that it was out of order.

"Shit!" I cursed aloud and stomped my foot in frustration. How was the elevator out of order? It's never given any problems and if there were any, it was to be fixed almost immediately.

I ran for the emergency exit, knowing that I would not survive running down those steep stairs with my stilettos on, but I had to take the risk. Another minute could not be wasted.

"Princess, they're coming!" a voice rang out in my head. I spun around to see ...

No one.

Wait, what?

"Hello?" I called out, my shaky voice echoed.

No response.

My heart pounded erratically inside of my chest, my stomach started churning and I started feeling dizzy.

"Princess, they are coming for you. You better run, now!" the voice instructed. I took the advice and raced down the stairs. I finally reached the lobby, in a not-so-elegant way, of course. I stumbled and my face finally made contact with the marble floor. Strangely enough, it didn't hurt, nor was I panting but I did feel drained. I felt a bit lifeless, really.
