Marrying My Daughter's Guardian (COMPLETE)

Chapter 19

"Good morning, angels!" Matthew greeted Sabina and me. He joined us for breakfast. 

"Good morning, daddy"

"I'll be away the whole day, had meeting out of town." He informed us. It has not been usual for him to tell us his itineraries, but he did this time. I wasn't assume things but I think it was a great progress that he does that.

"So sad, we'll gonna miss you this dinner?" Sabina was persistent. 

"I, guess, so." Matthew crumples Sabina's hair. 

Sabina pouted. Though she's not a bratty kid, she had this way of endearment. She just want to be pursued more and Matthew never fail on that. 

"Hey, honey. Don't worry I will gonna make up to you." Matthew was pursuing her. When it comes to my daughter, he wouldn't want her to be upset.

"How about going to the beach this weekend?" He winks. He smiled boyishly. I laughed at his antics. He's full of surprises. 

"Really, daddy?" Sabina's eye's grew round. She is excited. "I enjoy going to the beach. Do you hear that mommy?" she turned on me. 

"Uhuh,,, how about a smile there?" I encouraged.

She turned back to Matthew. "Pinky swear?" She wanted assurance.

"Pinky swear" Matthew hooked his finger on hers.

"You are the best daddy!"

Sabina hugged Matthew. I just watch them. There's really this connection on them. I'm glad that everything is going well.

After the breakfast, I walked Matthew onto his car. It's been our ritual from the night we shared bed together. 

"Bye...take care of yourselves."

He kissed me in the forehead. Oh, gosh that was amazing. This is another first! I waved my hand as he pulled over. 

"Mommy, can we play barbie in my room?"

Sabina called for me.

"Of course, baby. Let's go."

We went to her room. It was all pink, courtesy of Sabina's adoptive parents. She is pampered. My Sabina is very lucky to have been adopted by the Blaine's. I bonded all the time with her. I was mending those lost times.

"So, what you want to be?" I wanted to know more of her thoughts.

"I want to be a doctor like mom. She's great. She saved so many lives such as mine." She was referring to Matthew's mom. In her early age nearing six, she speaks maturely. Maybe because of her medical condition before.

Lucia entered the room.

"What is it Lucia?" I asked.

"There's somebody looking for Mr. Blaine. She said her name is Aprille ", informed Lucia, Blaine's matron for years.

I went to see Matthew's visitor. I saw Melissa and her companion. So, what is Brandon's fiance doing here? It's been a while since we last saw him. 

"Matthew isn't here, he went on a business trip", I informed Melissa and the girl.

"Actually, we didn't came here for Matthew. We're because of you", Aprille vehemently spoke. She looked at me from head to toe. She's so confident of herself. Just like Melissa, she's elegantly dressed.

"Why is this something about me?", I was clueless. This is the first time I saw her.

"I'm Matthew's girlfriend."

My jaw dropped. Did she just said, she's Matthew's girlfriend?
