February*

"Lacey!" Adam screamed down from upstairs. "Yes Addy" I called from the couch where my 28 week pregnant belly resided. "Where are my sneakers?" He yelled. "In front of the fireplace, you put them there last night so you wouldn't misplace them today" I yelled. "Right" he said. I heard him stumble down the stairs before he jumped over the couch sitting beside me. "I'm gonna miss you" he said kissing me deeply. "You too baby" he said kissing my belly. "Can we please find out the sex?" He begged. He's been begging for weeks, "no I want it to be a surprise" I said smiling cupping his cheek. "Fine" he smirked rolling his eyes, "only 12 more weeks baby" he said rubbing my belly. I laughed, "come on babe, the boys will be here any minute, and as much as I love the time we've had, despite work, its not going to be easier to put it off. Sneakers on, sweatshirt on, and beanie on" I said cupping his face. "I hate how right you are" he groaned. "Come on I think they just pulled up" I said and heard a honk, "yep and that must mean Rachel is right behind them, go on before you get in trouble" I said. He smiled shyly, my brave face is working, keep it up, I thought. "I love you, I'll call when we get there" he said kissing me and baby once more. "We'll be waiting" I said holding him longer than I ought to.

I walked him to the door and saw Rachel and the kids coming up the steps. "Hey Rachel," he said passing her. He got to the bottom and stopped looking up at me. "Wait for me" he said. I nodded "I will" he'd be hysterical if he wasn't there for the birth. "Hey Rach" I smiled, "Ryan, Michael, come on in" I smiled. "There's cookies in the kitchen help yourself" I said. "How's my girl?" She asked. "Horrible" I said shutting the door. "That was the hardest thing I've had to do," I admitted. "It'll get better I promise. Once baby gets here and you guys get into a rhythm him leaving will be part of the schedule, he'll Skype constantly and you'll be so distracted with baby he'll be home before you can really miss him" she said. "I hope so" I sighed joining the kids in the kitchen for a cookie. "Can we use Adam's Xbox?" They asked. "Go for it, just no food or drink near it!" I yelled after them. "So how's he taking being away?" "He's scared he won't be here for the birth" I said sipping my milk. "They all say that and they all make it" she said and I knew she was right, I had talked to the others and they always made it home in time. "I just wish this baby would come out all ready my back is killing me" I groaned. "Almost kid, almost" she smiled, "come on movie time."

March 25th*

I woke up to the phone ringing loudly beside me. "Hello?" I said sleep thick in my voice. "Morning baby girl, did I wake you?" I smiled, "yes but I don't mind. Where are you today?" I asked yawning. "Um I have no idea I haven't even gotten out of bed yet. I could be in the desert for all I know" he laughed. It was warm and familiar and so far away. "I miss you" I blurted. We've avoided saying it, he's still close, in the U.S. for now at least. "I miss you too, I'll be home soon, the last few shows before break are in Cali, so I'll be even closer" he said. "It's still not good enough" I whined. "I know. What have you been up to?" He asked. "Rachel came over yesterday with the kids, she's helping me decided what to do with the nursery. We should have at least painted it already" I said. "Sorry babe, you distracted me from my husbandly duties," I laughed at that. "Any thoughts?" I asked. "Hmm anything you want" he said. "Ooh okay" I grinned. "Can you cool it on the Disney please" he groaned sarcastically. "Nope Disney is life" I said. "How about vampires don't you still love them?" He asked. "Of course but that's not kid material love, Disney is." He groaned, "can it at least be Pirate Disney?" "What if it's a little girl?" I asked. "Can't they like pirates too?" He insisted. I laughed, "yes. I'll figure out something, Rachel and the kids can help" I said. I sat up then and stretched feeling a lot of pressure in my stomach. I winced not wanting to make a noise and alarm him. "I gotta go babe, Rachel's calling" I said. "Alright, I'll call you later babe" he said. "I'll be waiting" I said and waited until he hung up before switching over to Rachel.
