*Lacey's pov
April 2017* (3 years from the beginning)

"Momma you ready?!" Briar Rose asked impatiently, coming back from seeing Adam and taking some pictures. I laughed, "almost" I managed trying to stay still so the woman wouldn't mess up my make up. She finished and handed me the mirror, "perfect" I said. She left smiling and I turned to Rachel, my Matron of Honor. "So?" I asked. "Beautiful" she said. "Thank you" I turned to see Briar Rose was dressed, "I see daddy dressed you" I smiled. "No auntie did" she giggled. She looked so cute in her dress. "I got pictures with daddy and just me!" I laughed, "I can't wait to see those!" The main photographer came in then and worked with the assistant to get pictures of me getting dressed. Rachel helped me and soon I was standing at the top of the aisle hidden from view. "Daddy's scared" Briar Rose said taking her place waiting for the music.

I took a deep breath and stared down at the ring on my finger, "turn that," Rachel smirked stealing my attention. "Huh?" I asked. "It's a thing, you're not supposed to wear it for the ceremony. Everyone does but they spin it so it looks like just a band" she explained. "Why?" I asked confused. She shrugged, "not a clue that's just what my mom said." I giggled and spun the ring around and focused my attention on the change in music. Briar Rose started down the aisle and Rachel moved forward. I bit my lip and took a deep breath watching her follow Briar Rose. I inched my way forward, and waited for the music to change again. "Would you do me the honor of allowing me to walk in you down the aisle?" I turned seeing Fred standing there. I smiled, "the honor would be all mine" I said.

I took his arm and we took our spots as the music signaled my turn. "Breath Lacey, at least you know what you're walking into this time" he teased. I giggled and we started down. One photographer focused on me and one on Adam. Michael nudged him and he looked up catching my eye. "I haven't seen him this happy in a while" Fred whispered. I blushed, "I have, with Briar Rose" I said. "You know what I mean" he said m, and I could hear the smirk the way I can with Adam. Now I know where he gets it, "yea I know" I said. We stopped at Adam and Fred gave me over, kissing my cheek. Adam squeezed my hand as we stood in front of the JP. He spoke of love and kindness and family and all I could do was look from Adam to Briar Rose. "Lacey would you care to go first?" It caught me off guard, "uh.." I looked at Rachel for my vows then realized I never gave them to her. "I left them in my room so I'm gonna wing it" I whispered.

Adam laughed softly. "Adam we've come so far to get to this place. It started 3 years ago today, and it's been a whirlwind. It's hard to believe that just 3 years ago we were in completely different places, places that we laugh about now. Though my family had shrunk soon after meeting you, you helped me grow it, first by the hard to earn support of the band, your family, and then our own daughter. Despite it all I wouldn't change a thing about how we started. It was rocky of course but it made us both stronger, and better people because of it. So today, I promise to support you in your dreams, whatever they may be, but most importantly I promise to love you unconditionally through all our ups and downs, as I'm sure there will be more." I said blushing as I caught the people around us staring.

Adam smiled, "wow mine can't compare to you winging it" he laughed. "So um, here it goes." He took a deep breath and looked up at me, "Lacey you've been the most difficult woman I've ever met. You're challenging in every way, your a sweets addict, you love to disagree with me" "not true" I said interrupting. "See right there" he smirked. I blushed a brighter red. "But in doing that you make me a better person. You force me to be the best I can be, no one has ever done that for me, and I can't tell you how much I appreciate having you in my life. Yes that first year was hard, that first month was unbearable, but we managed it and if we can get through that, we can get through anything. Having you by my side has been the bet thing that's every happened to me, so today I promise to support you in all of your dreams and love you unconditionally" he finished.

I bit my lip holding back tears that were threatening to fall. We exchanged rings and were pronounced husband and wife. His kissed me long and hard before reluctantly pulling away. He picked up Briar Rose and led us back up the aisle. The reception was perfect, we were surrounded by people that loved and supported us and that's what mattered most. We relaxed in the moment knowing all too soon he'd be back on the road pushing back any honeymoon we wanted, but it didn't matter we were married and happy, I didn't need a honeymoon to celebrate that.

It all worked out perfectly in the end, one mistake led to a catastrophic series of events that got us here and I wouldn't change a thing.

The End.
