Aisha smiled at herself in the mirror when she saw the spark in her eyes. Quickly, she put on her scarf and hurried down the stairs. She heard her mother scream at her and attended to her chores. Breakfast, done. Kitchen, done. Bride, nearly. She stepped into her sister's room and smiled when she saw her drying her hair.

"Aw, Affa, you are leaving us behind." Her sister scoffed and turned the hair dryer off.

"I'm getting married tomorrow. It's only the mendhi today. Gosh."
Although she pushed the fact that she was going to get married away, she was nervous inside. Aisha saw through the act. She pushed Nafeesa down onto the bed and held her hands.

"It's going to be okay. He loves you, okay? You love him. What more do you want? He is gonna take care of you."

"Look at this," Nafeesa said with a laugh, "my little sister is giving me advice."

They continued to get ready and rushed out the house to the get to the hall. Once they were there, the camera men filmed her entrance and the guests stood outside with their phones and cameras.

"Aisha," her mother called. "Is Nafeesa okay?" Aisha looked at her sister who was on the stage and replied back to mother.

"Gee, Amma, she's okay."

The day went on as she ran around the hall, making sure everything was okay. Once the evening was over, she carefully placed her sister into the car, making sure she didn't smudge the henna on her arms. Guess I will have to feed her tonight, Aisha thought to herself. But she didn't mind.As soon as she got dressed, she carefully took off her sister's dress but only left the blouse on since she couldn't take it off without ruining the henna.

"Have you thought about the guy?"

"What guy?" Aisha asked as she began to feed her. She knew what guy.

"The wedding proposal. It would be so cool if you got married now. We still have tons of money left since I wanted a small wedding. You're the youngest girl. The youngest one of the siblings and the youngest cousin. You do so much for everyone and you're only twenty one. This guy has been waiting for six months for an answer."

"I'm scared, Affa. He was married before. I might not be good enough because now he has someone else to compare me to."

"He is a nice guy. I used to go uni with him and he seemed nice." Aisha bit her lip as she thought. Maybe it won't be so bad.
