5 am *alarm rings*

"Oh God what possessed me to think this whole camp leader thing would be a good idea" grumbling and mumbling I dragged myself out of bed at five freaking AM in the morning. Today officials marks the start of my camp leader experience and I'm not looking forward to it. Ugh who am I kidding I'm nervous as hell because in less than an hour I'll be in a room full of people I've never associated with before in my high school life and I'll be thrown into a group of 15 other students and required to bond with them over the THREE DAYS TWO NIGHT CAMP! Yes, camp with strangers from my high school I'm feeling more stupid then even Spongebob right now.

As if I wasn't already feeling nervous as hell the bus had to be delayed and I'm late to school which means I'll have to run to school and walk into a room full of strangers who'll all look up and stare at me because I'm the last one to arrive. I reach my destination regretting every step I take and mentally punching myself for landing myself in this situation. Once I reach the meeting point for camp leaders orientation I make my way over to my assigned group and I'm in for a wonderful surprise. Lindsay Carter is in my group and there she is waving at me. I've never been so happy to see that girl. Now we're not the best of friends but I used to have a couple of classes with her last year and we've talked and are on friendly enough terms. Looks like this camp won't be as bad as I thought after all.

We're left to mingle with our group mates for a while before we proceed with the day's activities. They start taking attendance "Tyler? Is Tyler here?" For a moment I thought they're talking about Tyler Torwood but then I dismiss the thought Tyler wouldn't be participating in a school activity. He's too busy getting chicks to do anything else. "I'm so sorry I'm late" I turn towards the owner of the voice and there is Tyler Torwood sauntering in as if being late is the most natural thing to happen. Well of course he likes to come in late gives people the opportunity to stare at him even more and he obviously loves the attention seeing how comfortable he looks despite being the last one to arrive. Tyler makes his way over to my group wait rewind my group, Tyler's in my group, now how did that happen. I see a few girls starting to giggle and whisper oh nooo this group is going to be a Tyler fan club I'm a forced member of the Tyler fan club I'm silently thinking to myself. I've made up my mind I may be in the Tyler fan club but I am not going to talk to him at all unless absolutely necessary. Lucky for me Tyler is not sitting anywhere near me so I do not have to introduce myself and "bond".

It's mid afternoon now and it has actually been pretty fun all this while and I've had no interaction with Tyler so far which is a good thing because I couldn't stand talking to that jerk who thinks every girl who talks to him has a huge crush on him. We start lining up for our next activity and this is an interesting one. It's a three-legged race and no not your average three-legged race. You and your partner have to transport as many items as possible within the given time frame as well as avoid being pelted with water balloons thrown by the 'attackers' on the sides. The team that has the most number of items on the other side wins the game. Lindsay's sitting this one out so I have to pick another partner and fast because the game is about to begin. Most of my group mates are already partnered up and tying their legs together. Shit what if I'm the only one without a partner that'd be so humiliating.

"Hey do you wanna partner up?" A deep husky voice comes to my rescue I turn to greet my savior but oh oh things don't look so good. My 'savior' is none other than Tyler. I'm about to refuse his offer but before I can open my mouth Mr Dylan throws a rope at us and tells us to get into position. As annoyed as I am to have Tyler as my partner I'm pretty much left without a choice so reluctantly I let him tie out legs together. Okay we're partners but I can still choose to not talk to him yes I'm just going to pretend he doesn't exist or he's just an object I'm lugging around seeing how his leg is tied to mine. The whistle blows the race is on me and Tyler have bad foot coordination. "Okay how about we count 1 2 3 and take our steps together " I make this sensible suggestion to Tyler because I do not want to end up falling face first in the middle of the field with Tyler on top of me. That would give people a lot to talk about. We're still struggling with our steps but we're safe enough to not trip which is good enough. "Your feet are really small you know that"

"Uh yeah or yours are just really huge" I retort back at Tyler. He laughs, he seems amused. *splat* ugh can this game get anymore worse I'm going to be getting wet with Tyler tied to me. I hate getting wet with my clothes on, I hate how how your clothes cling to you when they wet and your hair sticks flat to your head making you look like a drenched cat. My mission is not to avoid the water balloons. I'm so focused on trying to avoid getting wet that I didn't realize Tyler's arms were encircling me and I realized he was sheltering me from the water balloons. "From the look on your face I figured you aren't a big fan of getting wet in clothes" amused, Tyler is once again amused. I decide to let my annoyance at his amusement go because I do appreciate not looking like a drenched cat after the game. Finally after what seemed like hours the game ends and I untie our legs as fast as I can and escape from Tyler's hovering presence.

Lunch like everything else is supposed to be a group thing so different groups occupy tables as we sit together. I make sure I take a seat as far away from Tyler as possible I don't exactly trust that guy's motives. Sure, the game wasn't as bad as I though it would be but knowing Tyler he was probably adding me to his girls-who-have-a-crush on me list just because I had talked to him and we had been forced partners. Better burst Tyler's fascination and staying away from him is the best way to do it. I caught Tyler eyeing me from across the table a couple of time but I pretended I hadn't noticed and carried on chattering with the people sitting around me.

Camp day three dawned bright and sunny and I knew it'd be another fun filled day. Yes, the much dreaded camp had turned out to be pretty amazing. "Morning Stacey, had a good sleep?" This was the second day Tyler was coming and greeting me early in the morning. Now morning greetings are fine but when they're given by Tyler they're most definitely not fine. I wasn't the only one who noticed that Tyler had exclusively greeted me and had ignored the rest of the group. I mumbled a greeting to him out of courtesy and being a non-morning person I couldn't bother to ponder too much over the exclusive morning greetings.

"Stacey hey wait up" I turned to see Liz running to catch up with me. Me and Liz being in different groups hasn't seem much of each other during camp and I was glad to see her. Liz had some interesting gossip awaiting me as usual when is this school not spreading gossip. "So I heard Tyler's in your group and you two seem to have hot it off. So what's he like? Is he a nice guy? Is he sweet? Is he..." "Liz slow down" Liz was blabbering without breathing and throwing question after question at me. "Okay okay but tell me everything that happened" said a beaming Liz. "Er I'm not sure what I'm supposed to tell you because nothing happened me and Tyler are just in the same group so he's as close to me as he is to the other group members, nothing else". Liz gave me a suspicious look but I really had nothing to tell. I didn't think me and Tyler were friends exactly we just so happened to be in the same group so it was a chance encounter nothing else.
