Chapter 17

I was gonna stay at home today as well . My fever hadn't left yet. I freshened up in the toilet but I still felt groggy. Being sick was absolutely horrible. Simple chores like walking from one place to another seemed like a pain in the ass. I went downstairs thinking I would eat toast and drink some coffee since I didn't feel making anything.

I reached the kitchen counter and saw two boxes on the kitchen counter with a note. I opened the note curiously.

"Mom prepared breakfast for you. You were asleep when I came in (And no I didn't break in I have a spare key to your house now remember) anyways eat it all like a good girl. I'll visit you after school. Rest and get well soon babylove

Awwww that was so sweet of Stacey and momsy to send me breakfast. And yes after my parents had left i had given Casey a spare key so she could let herself in whenever she pleased. Plus it would help if I ever forgot my key at home. I opened the box and smiled even wider. There were assortments of muffins (chocolate, plain, banana) my favorites and there was a small stack of pancakes as well. I opened the other box and it contained tiny tuna salad sandwiches and turkey sandwiches.

I made a mental note to call momsy to thank her for all the food. I took the pancakes and a tuna salad sandwich. The rest of the food could last for a while so I would eat it later for lunch.

I turned on my laptop put on teen wolf and started eating my breakfast. The pancakes were cold but they still tasted pretty good. I was glad to know my taste buds were still functioning well. You know how when you have a sore throat food tastes really gross? Yeah I absolutely hated that.

At about 1 in the afternoon Casey, Scott, Liz, Derek and Connor arrived at my house. Yes I know Casey had said she would visit which apparently meant the entire clique was visiting.

"How's my sick lil' girl." Cooed Derek giving me a big suffocating hug.

"Derek you're suffocating me and exhaling my germs." I said causing him to pull back instantly. Haha just the reaction I wanted.

Casey hugged me next and gave me a kiss on the cheek. "Sorry I couldn't come over yesterday I had to stay late for my science project. I really wanted to come I know you don't like being alone when sick."

"Don't worry babe it was fine. I had Tyler over to keep me company and pamper me." I blurted out without a thought.

All five heads were turned towards me staring at me like I had just announced that I had an alien spaceship at my house yesterday. Liz was the first to break the silence.

"Tyler? You mean Tyler Torwood? Hot popular player Tyler?" She asked in a shocked voice.

"Uh yeah that Tyler." I said lamely.

It was my fault. I hadn't told any of my friends I was now friends with Tyler. I mean they must be thinking I'm nuts having Tyler at my house all of a sudden seeing as they'd never even seen me talking to him before. The few times they had seen me talk to him was before I found out what type of a person Tyler really was and so the conversations consisted of me mostly rolling my eyes at Tyler's attempts to flirt.

"Why was he at your place Stacey?" Said Connor gaping.

"Uh because we're kinda sorta friends now." I mumbled.

"You're friends with Tyler?! OMG SINCE WHEN?" Liz screamed out loud causing everyone to jerk visibly. Her high pitched voice would shatter my ear drums one day I swear.

"Since quite some time." I said not volunteering any details.

"Why didn't you tell us? I thought you didn't like him? Didn't you think he was a jerk and dickhead?! Stac I'm disappointed you of all people should be oblivious to his charms." Derek was rambling not giving me the chance to even explain. That idiot thought I had a crush on Tyler.
