It was Friday and I was finally in school, all better. I had tons of work to catch up on and the thought of that made me groan.

Classes were more tedious than usual. By each lesson my pile of work was increasing rapidly. I was not looking forward to doing all that work. It would take me ages and bore me to tears.

Fourth period ended and by then I was sulking and the picture of gloom. Casey linked her hands in mine and dragged me to the cafeteria.

"Why so glum little one?" Derek asked. I don't know why he calls me little. We're the same age. He makes it sound like I'm a tiny little kid pfffft.

"Work tons of work." I said robotically.

"Poor you poor poor you." He said pretending to be sad but failing.

"Shut up before I whack you Derek it's not funny having to catch up on 3 days worth of shit!" I growled. He was saved from the whack because he was sitting well out of my arm's reach.

I was eating my lunch when Tyler visited our table.

"Hey Stac good to see you back in school. All better now?" He asked.

"Yeap I'm good as an orange but I'll be sick soon seeing the amount of work I have piled on." I said with a groan.

Tyler let out a laugh and ruffled my hair. What was that for? What's it with guys and treating me like a little kid. I know I have a small built and they're all built like hulks but still that does not give them the right to ruffle my hair, pat my head or call me little. Annoying egotistic males. Why do I even hang out with them?

"I could help you with your work if you want. Wouldn't want you all sick and miserable now would we. Plus you look like a mess when sick." He said.

I gave him a glare but then changed it into a smile. "Would you really help me out with my work?" I asked sweetly. I wasn't about to let go of the help offered.

"Sure the subjects I have in common with you at least."

"Thanks Tyler." I said with the same sweet smile.

"I'll come over to your place after school." He said.

"I could come to yours since I'm the one who needs help." I offered. I was curious to see his house as well.

Tyler's face darkened for a fleeting second making me think it was my imagination.

"No your house is fine." He said firmly.

I nodded in agreement. Lunch was almost over, time to head to class. Wouldn't do me good to be late after missing three days of school.

School was over and I was on my way home. Tyler was following me home in his own car. We stopped at Gusto's to grab lunch. Mexican wraps, fries, onion rings and drinks.

Once done with lunch I pulled out my assignments and spread them on the kitchen table and let out a loud groan. Tyler just snickered. He was enjoying my misery no doubt.

"Chop chop now get to work." He said and opened my maths book in front me.

I looked at the numbers groaned and shut it. I hated maths it was the bane of my existence. I looked through my assignments and found something I didn't abhor. I started on my literature assignment while Tyler started on one of his own assignments.

30 minutes later I was done with literature. I excused myself and went upstairs to use the toilet. 30 minutes can feel like hours when doing school work.
