SORROW

A tear, a tear.
Falling through the air.
With moisture's lost
Is sorrows gain.

In a sea of tranquility
I want to immerse my sadden soul
To wash away my grief
So happiness can take control.

Watering eyes, watering eyes
Tears are running down my cheek
Even as I speak;
To start a river at my feet.

And yet even as I wash my feet in sorrow
I can't help but think of a happy tomorrow.
When like the tears I wiped today
So too will I wipe the memories of you away.

But like a bent arrow
Another tear streaks
Across my cheek.
