Gerard's POV:

I open the door to the bus and see Ray lying down in his bunk reading a book. I get into my bunk, which is the top bunk over Franks. I pull my black blanket over my head.

"What's wrong, gee?" Ray doesn't even look up from his book, but I might as well talk to him.

"Nothing, what are you reading?" I say popping my head from above the blanket.

"Some weird supernatural thing about werewolves vs vampires, it's really shit though, there's not even a backstory to why they're fighting." Huh sounds like Mikey and I all the time. Especially when he won't give me some goddamn food, I don't like hunting so I always beg Mikey to give me some of his kill, he never shares it though.

"Toss the book up here." He folds the bottom corner of the page he was reading and throws the book up to the my bunk. I barely caught it with one hand.

I open to the page Ray was on, it was only page 7 and I wasn't bothered to read the introduction.

"Hey what's happened so far in this book?"

"I just started it, but there were these two vampire families and one of the families secretly had a werewolf in it. The other vampires couldn't know or else they'd kill the werewolf. They haven't explained why yet, so just keep reading."

I look back to the book and start reading. It was kind of interesting, I normally don't like these kind of books because they get all the details of vampires and other supernatural creatures wrong. This book didn't though, everything in this book was true, vampires biting werewolves and they turn into actual wolves and the werewolves biting vampires and they become half werewolf half vampire. The fighting chapters were very entertaining, I could actually see them happening.

"Ray, this book isn't too bad."

"Well, the author just made our the random stuff about supernatural thing, like what kind of werewolf can show their fangs whenever they want? It needs to be a full moon." Oh if only you knew Ray, if only you knew.

"Well they're only books, you don't actually believe in this do you?"

"You never know Gerard, people can believe in anything, this could be something." I snort at Rays response, first human to ever believe in us, at least the first human that I've known.

"Gerard? You in here?" Frank just came in through the door and is kind of out of breath. It'd be funny if he was running from Mikey, but he wasn't because I could see from here, Mikey was on stage tuning his bass.

"Yeah, so is Ray."

"Well we need to talk." He says in a serious tone.

"First, look at this book, I promise it's not a distraction, it's actually quite interesting." I toss Frank the book a he caught it with ease. He started reading from the first page. And then looked at the back of the book for the blurb. This book was from a whole series of supernatural stuff.

"Wow, this isn't like those shitty books with vampires sparkling in the sun." Ray starts to get kind of confused as Frank says this.

"Guys, it's just some supernatural stuff that probably doesn't exist. They left out detail and made up this new crap. What vampire can't turn into a bat? Wouldn't people see them with gigantic black wings? They can't turn invisible can they? Can they even fly!?" Wow Ray.

True, we can't actually turn into bats, that was centuries ago, like how the first ever vampire was made. A dead bat got resurrected from this weird scientist guy and then drank one of this chemical mixtures (not potions, potions have magic to do with them) and turned into a human. Well, a vampire. He could turn into a bat and then back into a human easily, but he wasn't a very smart human. His name was Dracula, stupid name in my opinion. This is what I heard from Mikey and my parents though, so it might not be a hundred percent accurate. Unless you want to believe that there is some kind of supernatural God up in the heavens.

"Yeah okay... Hey Frank, who's the author?"

"Let's see... P. Repose. Ring a bell?" Can't say I have. But repose does sound familiar.

"No. Frank come outside here for a second." We leave the van and give Ray his book back.

"I think this P. Repose person is a vampire or werewolf or some kind of creature. She's exposing the supernatural world's secrets!"

"Gee, who would believe her? Only people from the supernatural world would know this."

"Ray believes. First human to ever, but he believes."

"Gee, do you know how vampires were created? By a bat being resurrected by lightning and drinking some chemicals. Do you think anyone would believe that?"

"Humans were made by monkeys, what does that say about people?" No offence here, I used to think I was a human.

"Well, God  could exist..."

"Just like supernatural gods?"

"Shut up gee, there's nothing we can do about it! If lots of people even do believe in this book someday what's the worst that can happen?"

"Oh um, I don't know maybe they could read up to page 26 where it mentions the portal to the supernatural world and its location in all the countries that vampires use to get into the world AND that humans could enter it too if they wanted to. But that's just a maybe,"

"Who would have the stupidity to go into the portal?"

"STUPID PEOPLE! Ever heard the expression 'curiosity killed the cat?' Yeah, THIS WILL KILL MORE THAN CATS!" I whisper-shout at him.

Frank and I just look at each other, he knows there's a possibility, but doesn't want to admit it. I need to find this author to stop them from writing these books. I wonder if what's in the books would actually happen in real life... Nah, no way, vampires and werewolves get along now in the 21st century. Sure, maybe there was that one war back in the 10th century back in the supernatural world... Pfff no, the chances of history repeating itself aren't very high nowadays.
