Luckily when I got to school today the guys weren't there, though I did wonder where they were? Sure it's not like we were the best of friends and I know they could do better than me but I was still concerned.
This morning though was a close call. I was just about to walk out of the house but I saw the guys coming out and they got in their car.
They looked really panicked but I didn't think to much of it, probably some family emergency. I still wonder? Well no use dwelling on it.
It was Friday so I met up with Spencer after school. Jen said she would take my car home because her mom dropped her off today. "Hey Tori Bear!" I looked up from the text I sent my mom and smiled at Spencer, there, leaning against the car.
Holy Mother of Chocolates why did he have to look like a male model standing like that?
Some people are lucky in this world to have amazing bodies but then you get the people who try but never get what they want. "Hey Spencer." Guess I don't stutter anymore, that's going to be useful. "You ready?" I nodded my head and we climbed into his black, SUV.
The car ride to his house was silent but it wasn't an awkward silence. I snuck a peek at him now and then, I noticed he was doing the same. Why does he have to be so cute? We finally arrived at his house, and it was beautiful.
It was a two story house. The walls were built from rocks and on some of the walls, were vines growing on it.
I think I was starring to long because Spencer started to chuckle at my expression. I looked over at him and blushed.
He smiled at me then got out. I undid my seat belt but just as I was about to open the door, Spencer opened it for me.
"Thank you." I smiled at him while jumping out. "Your welcome. So...welcome to my humble abode." He said when we walked through the threshold of the house.
The inside was even more beautiful. Inside was the real modern look. Everything looked so high tech and futuristic.
Though I do like vintage/modern more, that just seemed more homey but still futuristic.
"So where do we go from here?" I asked when he was standing in front of me. He smiled and led me to the living room. We sat down on a leather brown couch and got to work.
"So what are you struggling on?" That led us to talking and discussing about balanced equations for chemistry then for biology the brain.
"See you've got this stuff down, its not that hard." He nodded while I cleared my things off the table and put them in my bag.
"Um Tori... I-I was wondering if you'd like to come to my party next Saturday?" He asked while rubbing his hand through his hair.
Did Spencer McBride, the Spencer McBride, just ask me to come to his party? What does that mean?
It means he wants you at his party you idiot! That tiny voice in my head said.
"Um...sure is it cool if I bring Jen?" I'm sure she was going even if she wasn't invited. He nodded then smiled and I smiled back.
Suddenly I found him leaning in closer towards me. His eyes looking back and forth between my lips and eyes. Surely he's not going to kiss me, right?
I actually found myself leaning forward as well. I could feel his breath fanning my face from our close proximity. Just as my eyes started to flutter closed, my phone rang.
We jumped back in surprise and I'm sure I looked like a tomato with how red I looked from blushing. Spencer cleared his throat and asked if I was going to get that.
