Chapter 27

I hid behind the bush hoping he wouldn't be able to find me. I made sure I kept quiet. I saw him walking towards me with a devious smirk.

I keep in my gasp as he stands right there looking around for me. I crouch as low as I could hoping he hadn't seen me yet.

He begins to walk away and I let out a sigh of relief as he walks out of sight. The moment of relief is short lived as I'm suddenly picked up. I yelp as I feel his arms wrap around my waist. "Let me go!" I yell while laughing, he turns me around to face him.

I look up into his eyes and see nothing else but him. I smile lovingly up at him and place my hand on his cheek. I see him lean into my touch as he closes his eyes. He grabs onto my hand and looks at me again.

"I love you." He whispers while looking me straight in the eye. I look at him and see no signs of him lying to me.

"I love you too Sam."

That was the first time we said 'I love you' to each other. When he said those words to me I felt like the luckiest girl in the world. Nothing could dampen my mood after he said that to me.

Until he changed.

Having his lips on mine again reminded me of all our wonderful times together. It unfortunately showed me that I still have feelings for him. I'm not in love with him but I just can't find it in myself to hate him completely.

I felt his lips begin to move against mine but I'm still too much in shock to do anything.

Before I could tell what was happening Jacob had tackled Sam to the ground and began to beat him.

"Don't you dare touch her you asshole!" He yelled as he continued to beat Sam. I shook myself awake and pulled Jacob off. He went to go again but I stopped him. "Don't." Is all I say to him, you can see he still wants to beat Sam but all he does is nod and step back.

I give my hand to Sam to pull him up and he takes it. Once he's up I look him in the eye. "You didn't break me." I say then punch him again. He falls to the ground and groans in pain.

"Tori! What the hell is wrong with you!" Elli yells and goes to help Sam. I walk back to my friends and stand there watching them both.

"Why do you all hate him so much? What has he ever done to you?" Elli asks us while helping Sam to the couch.

"Oh I'll tell you-" Jen went to yell but Sam cuts her off. "No Jennifer I'll tell him." To say we were shocked was an understatement.

I nod my head and let him go to speak. He sighs and runs his hand through his hair.

"It all started when me and Tori finally started going out-"

"You guys were together, thats great! See I told you, you two would be amazing-" Elli rants but Darron puts his hand over his mouth.

"Anyways we were together for quite some time before I started doing things that I deeply regret. One time I forced Tori to have sex with me. After that one time I began beating her many times. It went on for a very long time. I'm really sorry Tori. I know you could never forgive me and I don't blame you one bit. I just needed to let you all know how I regret what I did-" He's cut off from the rest of his speech when Elli tackles him and begins to beat him.

"You promised you would take care of her!"

"I trusted you!"

"I hate you!"

Is some of the things Elli yelled. I stood up and pulled Elli off of him as well. "Elli sit down."

"What! No he deserves to die for what he's done!" He goes to punch Sam again and I see him flinch. It surprisingly doesn't make me happy he's finally scared it makes me sick actually.

"Just let me handle it okay." He nods stiffly and goes to sit down again. I turn to Sam and crouch down to his level.

"Sam I loved you so much I would have done anything for you. You betrayed me and hurt me in the worst possible ways. I know I should actually be happy that you're scared and hurt so you know how I actually felt but I don't feel that way. I'm not like you Sam. I don't get pleasure seeing you like this."

He only nods his head and stays on the floor. I go to walk back to the couch but what he says make me stop dead in my tracks.

"Dennis is coming for you Tori."

I turn to him and see he's sitting up against the wall now. "What do you mean Sam?" I say acting as I didn't know this already.

"The reason I came back here was to turn myself in but this guy named Dennis approached me before I could do it. Tori he's getting people to help him get to you." He says shocking all of us.

"What else Sam?" I ask him needing to know more. "He's asked people you've known or met that's not to fond of you. I know some of the people there already. I agreed to joinging him to get information for you. They're planning on hitting your friends and family first Tori." He says to all of us.

I just stood there gaping. "What are we going to do?" I hear Jen ask. I suddenly stand up straight and turn to face them.

"We're not going to let them win. We have an inside guy to keep us updated. We can work with this. Dennis is not going to play with me anymore." I say to them and sit down.

We all start discussing a plan and ask Sam to keep gaining more information for us. He agrees but stays far away from me and Elli. The guys refuse for Sam to get near me and Sam stays clear from Elli because each time Elli tries to attack him.

Couldn't I just have a normal life?
