He Took Us In

Chapter 14: Special Kind Of Genius

I woke up warm. I lifted my head slowly and cracked my sore neck to make it feel better. I had almost forgot the girls fell asleep right beside me. They look so peaceful.

Amanda is snuggled against my side while Sabrina is snuggled into my lap. The way it looks, she has claimed my left leg. She managed to wrap her arm half way around it. Amanda, I suppose she just claimed my ribs.

I didn't want to wake them so I waited for them to open their eyes. Luckily, that was within five minutes.

I grin, "Morning sleepy heads."

As they wiped the tired traces from their eyes, they nodded and stretched.

"You gotta stay in here, Matt." Amanda finally said.

"Oh? What for?"

Sabrina replied, "We're making breakfast."

I didn't argue. I watched them as they went to the kitchen. As I heard them getting into cupboards and such, I went upstairs and washed my hands and face. By the time I came down, I already began to smell food, but waited in the living room.

*Amanda's POV*
"I hope he likes the food." I say nervously.

Sabrina laughs, "Even if he doesn't, he'll still eat it. You know he's not rude."

I nod, "True."

By the time we were done, we brought all the food into the living room where Matt was sitting on the couch. By the look in his eyes, he was pleased with what he seen.

We made bacon, toast, eggs, waffles, turkey sausages, and we even had orange juice. It was a perfect breakfast (and as I noticed the radio still being on) with perfect music.

"I'd have to say," Matt begins after eating, "if this wasn't considered a great meal, I wouldn't know what is."

Sabrina and I smiled and thanked him for the compliment. After eating, we changed into more casual clothing after showering.

*Sabrina's POV*
Matt walked into our room while Amanda and I were laughing at jokes,
"Whatcha girls wanna do today?"

We looked at eachother and back at him,
"Mall?"

"Alright, c'mon. Jump in the car."

And with that, we piled in the vehicle and went to the mall. There was a lot of amazing stuff there.

*Matt's POV*
"I remember when I was younger and they didn't have all the fancy iPhones like they do now."

Sabrina looked around the phone store, "I know, I just enjoy the iPods and stuff because you can take good pictures and you have your music with you."

"If you could slap a baby would you do it?" Amanda asked out of nowhere.

I furrowed my brow, "What? No, of course not!"

"I don't know, Matt. I think you would." Sabrina argued.

"I honestly don't think I cou-"

"Oh! Look it!!" Sabrina begins to fangirl as she jogs over to a music store.

"Ohh my gad! Amanda! Johnny Cash merchandise!"

I watched as the two smiled and looked at the merch. I was quite surprised to see they liked Johnny Cash. I mean, he was always one of my favorites.

I seen a shirt, "Wow, he looks really young, there."

"I know." Amanda continued, "and have you ever seen Elvis Presley in his younger ages?"

"Mhmm. Girl, you bet I have." Sabrina snaps her fingers in a Z shape.

O.o well then. I can obviously see they can get into the older kind of music.

I clear my throat, "Don't you girls have a crush on any boys your age?"

Sabrina laughs, "Nope, they're all older."

Amanda adds in, "I guess we just kinda like it when they're a bit older than us. Plus, all the cuter ones are always older than us."

I raise one eyebrow after hearing that.

After about two hours later, we head home and talk.

*Next Day*

I walk around outside, "Amanda? Sabrina? Where are you two at?"

They said they'd be out here. Where could they be?
I hear rustling in a big tree a few feet away.

By the time I looked over at it, the girls fall from the branches hidden from the leaves!

They dropped with a couple thuds.

I jog over to them, "Oh my gad! Are you two okay?"

"Ya." Sabrina laughs as Amanda's trying to catch her breath.

Amanda stopped gasping after a minute and started laughing too. Why would they be laughing?

"Did you have a nice fall?"

Amanda replied, "I kinda wanna do it again."

I finally laugh, "I'd have to say, that was quite a drop to knock the wind out of you like that."

We all nod slowly then get up.

I was bored so I decided to take the girls to town. Since I'm right outside of town, we decided to walk. It took only five minutes to get there.

As we were walking around, I began sweating.

I look over at them, "It's really hot out, I want ice cream."

Amanda smiles, "Alright, come on." She leads the way.

After we got to the little parlor, we sat on a bench outside. I got a peanut butter Girl Scout cookie milkshake... :3 I like it.

The girls got strawberry, though.
Pfft, they're so mainstream.
After we were done, I threw away our cups and stood there thinking where to go next.

Sabrina slaps Amanda's arm and points, "Oh shit."

Amanda sighs roughly, "Preps coming our way."

I look around and see a group of three girls. They looked stuck up. To be honest, I don't like stuck up people. Who does?

There was a dark skinned one, a blonde one, and a curly haired one.

The dark skinned one scoffed,
"Ew. Look who it is."

The other two laugh. I wanted to say something, but I would leave it up to Amanda and Sabrina.

"Just keep walking." Amanda rolls her eyes.

"You can't tell us what to do." The blonde haired protested.

Sabrina argues, "She's not telling you what to do. She's suggesting."

Amanda adds, "We have somewhere to be anyways, are you finished?"

"Uh, WE have somewhere to be." The curly haired replied.

The blondie asks, "Hm, who's this guy?" She points at me.

Amanda said calmly, "It's none of your business who he is, he's with us."

"I'm sure he is." The dark skinned said rudely. "He's too cute to be hanging out with you two."

The curly haired started flirting, "I think he should come with us."

Sabrina laughs, "It takes a special kind of genius to think they're hot shit."

They snort, "We don't have time for this."

Amanda and Sabrina sigh with relief, "Thank gad! We'd thought you'd never leave!"

I finally add in, "Come on, girls.
Let's go do something much more exciting."

The three preps looked kinda jealous.. But I don't know. I mean, they should be. My girls are thin and beautiful.
