Chapter 17

Liv's POV

    I felt so awful that Derek fell ill with the stomach virus, I really want to go to Maddison's party (Never thought I'd say that), but most importantly is Derek's health and I need to stay with him. I made Derek a bowl of chicken noodle soup, a cup of Sleepy Time Tea with lemon and I got a pot from my kitchen in case Derek vomits again. I put his soup and tea on a tray and put it on the table near the couch where Derek was laying down and I put the pot on his lap. I sat down next to Derek as I felt his pale face, he was burning up and he looked extremely tired.

"Pretty face" I said, Derek smirked as he tried to sit up, but I stopped.
"No, no. Don't sit up, just lie down" I said, sternly,
"Okay, boss" Derek said and I chuckled.
"I don't think I'm going tonight" I confessed and Derek looked concerned.
"Why?" He asked,
"Because your sick and I feel bad leaving you alone" I said.

"Yeah, but how many chances would you get to see your favorite band of all time perform live and for free?" Derek said, I started to think. This could be one of the best nights of my life and Lexa and I could make some new friends that are popular. Plus, it's not like I have to talk to Maddison.
"Go have fun, Liv" Derek said,
"You sure you'll be fine by yourself?" I asked.

"Oh yeah! I got me, my soup, my tea...and the smell of my vomit on your floor" he said.
"Well, don't get TOO wild tonight!" I said, sarcastically and Derek laughed. I leaned in to kiss Derek, but he pushed me away,
"No, Liv. I don't want to get you sick" he said.
"I don't care" I said and I kissed him anyway,
"Go get ready" he said and I rushed to my bedroom.

Derek then called me,
"Liv!" He said, I peeped my head out of my bedroom door.
"Yeah?" I asked,
"You might wanna wash your feet" he said. I picked up my foot, sniffed it and I grabbed my nose in disgust. Forgetting that Derek vomited all over my feet earlier.

Hours later, I was ready for Maddison's Blackout Party, but more importantly, seeing my favorite band ever perform live for free. I was all ready wearing my mom's sexy coattail dress with her black heals and a ton of makeup, like someone actually slapped a Barbie doll across my face. I was walking to the kitchen to grab something to eat, but then I realized that I could just eat at the party.
"All right, Derek. I'm gonna leave soon" I said.

          A few moments later, I didn't hear a respond.
"Derek?" I asked, I remember that Derek turned on my TV to watch some movies and Paddington was on HBO. I walked over to the couch to find Derek sound asleep and snoring, I also saw that Derek ate all of his chicken noodle soup and drank his Sleepy Time Tea, so that probably knocked him out. I turned off Paddington and was about to wake up Derek to tell him that I was leaving, but I stopped myself.

         "I suppose there's no need to wake him" I mumbled to myself. I then grabbed a notepad and pen and wrote: 'Went to Maddison's party, be back by midnight. -Liv'. I placed the notepad on the tray next to Derek's empty soup bowl and left for the party. I got ride from a taxi near by and headed off to Maddison's penthouse.

I arrived at Maddison's huge penthouse where I found a ton of people from my school and Fifth Harmony's tour bus was parked right outside. Lexa came up to me in her black crop top and skirt and she was freaking out as we were walking towards the front door.
"I really hope they sing 'This Is How We Roll'!" she said,
"And 'Like Mariah', 'Worth It' and 'Brave, Honest, Beautiful'" I said.
"WHO ARE WE KIDDING?! THEY ALL FUCKING SLAY!" We said at the same time.

"So, where's Derek?" Lexa asked.
"He has a stomach virus, so he's at my apartment, sound asleep" I said, Lexa felt bad.
"Awwww! That's too bad" she said,
"Well, he has himself, soup, tea and...the smell of his vomit on my floor" I said. Lexa looked at me like I had twenty heads,
"He said that" I said.

Lexa and I were headed towards Maddison's security guard at her front door, then I realized something.
"Oh, damnit!" I said,
"What's wrong?" Lexa asked.
"I forgot my fake I-" I said, but I got cut off when Maddison was beside Lexa and I and handed us two fake IDs.
"Wow. Thanks, Maddison" I said, Maddison smiled at me.

"Well, I can't let anyone miss out on the fun tonight" she said, I feel like I could get used to this 'Nice Maddison'.
"How did you get this picture of me?" Lexa asked, looking closely at her fake ID,
"I look like my mother!" She said.
"That is your mother!" Maddison said,
"Now show them to Rob" she continued. Maddison got out of the line and headed inside her house, Lexa and I were moving up in the line.

"How did she get a picture of my mother?!" Lexa asked, I just smiled. Lexa and I showed our IDs to Rob and we were in Maddison's penthouse. It was all white future, white walls, white everything! Lexa and I headed upstairs were Fifth Harmony was going to perform, there was a bar and tons of boys from my school.

             I saw Drew making out with Cassy Hall, his new girlfriend and when Cassy wasn't looking, he winked at me. I felt sick to my stomach and wished that Derek was here, because I thought he would try and rape me in the closet like in middle school.
"Uh, Liv I think I saw a buffet over there" Lexa said, I was hungry, but I was more hungry for acceptance from the popular people. I walked over to the bar and had a shot, I started coughing as I took too much, Lexa came by my side.

            "Liv, are you okay?!" She asked.
"No!" I said,
"I'M AWESOME!" I said.
"HIT ME UP AGAIN, BITCH!" I said to the make bartender,
"I am a grown man!" He said as got me another shot.
"This is SO not worth seeing Camila!" He said. I felt so alive, so powerful, something I didn't feel in a very long time, I felt like tonight was gonna be the best night of my entire life!

           Hours later, Maddison stopped the DJ and hopped on the stage.
"Are we having fun tonight?!" Maddison asked the crowd and the crowd responded by screaming.
"All right! Well, keep it going for these next five beautiful ladies" Maddison said and Lexa and I were freaking out.
"Lauren" she said, the crowd cheered,
"Normani" she said, the crowd cheered,
"Camila" she said, the crowd, especially the male bartender cheered,
"Ally" she said, the crowd cheered,
"And Dinah Jane!" She said and the crowd cheered.

"That's right, FIFTH HARMONY!" She screamed and the crowd went nuts. The stage was completely dark and then five spot lights went on to reveal the greatest girl group in the world, Fifth Harmony. The music to 'Top Down' started to play and everybody was dancing.
"New York City!" Lauren said,
"Are you ready?!" She asked and the crowd cheered.

The girls started singing 'Top Down' and during the second verse, Maddison pulled me aside.
"Liv, thank you so much for coming!" Maddison said, my vision was completely blurry, I probably should have eaten something instead of drinking something.
"No, prob" I said, drunkly, Maddison then handed me something.
"Here's a special drink for you" she said and I drank it down very fast.

"WHOA, Girl!" Maddison said, Maddison then ran to the light guy behind the stage and whispered something in his ear. Next thing I knew, the spotlight was on me and I was dancing. Everyone was cheering and the girls of Fifth Harmony were smiling and waving to me, especially Maddison. This has truly been the best night of my life!

Until suddenly, I felt something clogging up my throat, as if I couldn't breathe. My face was turning extremely red and I became very lightheaded. I then fell to the floor as everyone gasped, some people were gathered around me and some were freaking out.
"Someone call an ambulance!" I heard Camila say,
"I'll do it, Camila!" The male bartender said.

Camila looked weirded out,
"Okay...thanks, guy I don't know" she said. The male bartender then called 911. My vision was fading as people were trying to wake me up, but it was hopeless. I was too weak and dizzy to stand, or move, I finally blacked out, like Maddison's party, but for the worst reasons.
