Chapter 46

Derek's POV

       The next day, Liv was preparing to sing for Mark and Andy to see if she would get a record deal. I was sitting on the couch with her,
"You're going to do great, Babe" I said and she smiled. Andy then came to us,
"Liv, are you ready?" He asked and Liv smiled, nervously.
"I guess so" she said, I then noticed something on Andy's shirt.

         "Andy, that's a cool design on your shirt" I said and Andy looked at it.
"That's not a design" he said,
"Caden threw up on me this morning" Andy finished.
"Oh no" Liv said,
"It's better than when I had to change his diaper though" Andy said and we all laughed, but then I realized something.
"Oh, I forgot I have to get diapers" I said,
"Do you mind if I miss you singing?" I asked Liv.

         Liv shook her head no,
"No, I'm just singing 'Somewhere Over the Rainbow' again" she said.
"Okay, but I'll miss your singing voice" I said and kissed her forehead, I then headed to the door.
"I'm gonna get diapers for my babies who wants to-" I said, but before I could finish, Hayes and Carlos started to run to the car.
"ANYTHING THAT GETS ME OUT OF CHANGING DIAPERS!" They both said and the three of us were on our way.

          In the car, I was driving while Hayes and Carlos both sat in the back seats.
"I never thought I'd be getting diapers for my babies" I said,
"Hopefully, I'll do that with Alexa" Carlos said. Hayes was blushing,
"Lexa is so pretty" he said quietly and I was concerned.
"Hayes, did you say 'Lexa' or 'Alexa'" I asked, Hayes continued to blush,
"Uhhhhhh, Alexa. I said 'Alexa'" he said.
"I'm pretty sure you said Liv's best friend, 'Lexa'" Carlos said,
"Hayes" I said and Hayes finally gave in.

          "Okay, the truth is, I've had a crush on Lexa since the double wedding" Hayes admitted and Carlos and I were excited.
"Hayes is growing up!" Carlos said and we both laughed,
"Hayes, why don't you tell Lexa?" I asked.
"I'm playing hard to get!" He said,
"Yeah, she's not doing a great job with that" I said.
"Well, she's not afraid of admitting her feelings. It's not weird or anything" Hayes said,
"One time, when you were taking a nap, SHE STARED AT YOU FOR AN HOUR!" Carlos said and the three of us were creeped out.

          "Okay, now that's weird" Hayes said.
"Hey, Derek. Have you seen Carson?" Carlos asked,
"Yeah, I haven't seen him all day" Hayes said.
"He's just been at work at stuff" I said,
"I'm so happy for Wit" Carlos said.
"Yeah, those two are so cute together" Hayes said,
"But you and Liv are goals" Carlos said.
"She's my goals" I said and smiled as I thought of her, we then finally got to Walmart to get diapers.

            After we left the store, I was still driving while Hayes and Carlos were still in the back seat.
"So, how do you like taking care of three kids?" I asked,
"Derek, your kids are cute, but exhausting!" Hayes said.
"Tell me about it, I had to play Beauty and the Beast with Haley" Carlos said,
"Lucky!" Hayes said.
"I wanted The Little Mermaid!" Carlos said and I laughed,
"Yeah, but I'm beat" Hayes said.

        "Me too" Carlos said,
"We'll be home soon" I said. I then thought of an idea,
"Hey, you guys wanna play I Spy?" I asked.
"Yeah, I'll start" Hayes said,
"Okay, I spy with my little eye, something...green!" He said.
"Uhh, the grass?" I asked,
"No" said Hayes.

         "The palm leaves?" Carlos asked.
"Ding, ding ding!" Hayes said, meaning that Carlos was right.
"Okay, my turn" Carlos said,
"I spy with my little eye, something...yellow!" He said.
"The sun?" I asked,
"Nope" Carlos said.

          "The beach?" Hayes asked.
"No" Carlos said,
"I give up!" I said.
"What is it?" I asked,
"The yellow Volswagen!" Carlos said.
"PUNCH BUGGY!" Carlos and Hayes said at the same time and punched each other in the arm, but then hurt themselves.

"OW!" They said at the same time and I laughed,
"Okay, Derek, your turn" Carlos said and I began to think. I then got my idea,
"Okay, I spy with my little eye, something...purple!" I said.
"Uhhhhh, the grapes that girl is eating?" Hayes asked,
"No" I said.
"The purple dinosaur shirt the guy is selling?" Carlos asked,
"No it's not the-" I said, but I was cut off when I saw something.

I saw what looked like Carson on a purple bench, kissing another girl! My mind went completely blank as I thought that this couldn't be true, and all that I could think about was Witney. I then looked closer to see that the girl that Carson was kissing was...NINA! The girl who was pictured with me in People Magazine back in New York, WHAT THE ACTUAL FUCK?!

My mind was racing so many emotions until Hayes caught me.
"Derek, is it the grapes the girl was eating?" Hayes asked, because they were sitting in the backseat, they couldn't see Carson and Nina's faces.
"Yeah, it's the grapes" I said, quietly,
"Yes!" Hayes said. Carlos then yawned as Hayes did as well, before I knew it, they were sound asleep and snoring.

The rest of the ride home, I couldn't think probably. My thoughts were going in two different directions as all I could think is how Witney's world is being shattered and she doesn't even know. She was planning to spend the rest of her life with him and he just does that to her?! I wanted to tell her, but my mind was saying that telling her would hurt the both of us, knowing that I knew about it and didn't tell her sooner.

How was I supposed to keep a secret like this? How is everyone else going to figure out, sooner or later? How was I supposed to to explain that Carson is cheating on Witney? Most of all, how was I supposed to to explain to Liv that Nina is not done with her revenge?
