Chapter 26

Derek's POV

       My stomach was in knots and I couldn't even process what was going on. I did not rape Liv and wouldn't even try to, but I'm sure she believes me. If Liv and loose this trial, I could go to jail for getting her pregnant and for trying to rape her. I ran out of the courtroom as soon as Liv did, I found her running away from me.

        "Liv!" I yelled, she didn't look back.
"Liv, wait!" I yelled, she didn't look back, I finally caught up to her and turned her around. I looked in her eyes to see that she was crying,
"What's wrong?!" I asked.
"WHAT'S WRONG?!" She asked, more liked screamed, Liv then shoved me and I was defended.

          "YOU ARE WHAT'S WRONG!" She yelled.
"You tried to rape me, Derek! After I told you about my past experiences that I went through and you were just gonna bring them up again?!" She said,
"Liv, why would I do that?" I asked.
"Because you are just so selfish, you would do anything to get in the spotlight of your name out there" she said, now I was getting angry.
"No matter if it's your show, your movies, your awards, your tours, your injury or even raping a seventeen year old girl" Liv said, I was frustrated at Liv for crossing the line.

"You're back to that?" I asked, and Liv looked defensive.
"Are you back to being that defenseless little girl that you told me about?" I asked again,
"What? You're gonna leave me for some bitch that will break your heart...and not just your heart?" I asked. Liv was looking at the ground, thinking,
"Can you do something for me? Can you picture your life?" I asked.
"Twenty years from now? What's it like?" I asked, Liv wouldn't look me in the eye.

"If it's with Drew or Val...GO!" I said and Liv looked up from the ground.
"Go! Alright?! I lost a girl once and I can loose girl again!" I said, Liv looked up from the ground disappointed,
"I hate you" she said, sternly. I didn't hold a grudge,
"Well, if you leave this courthouse, then I hate you too" I said. Liv looked at me, angrily for a very long time.

She then had the nerve to walk away.
"YOU WOULD'NT BE WITH ME IF YOU KNEW THAT YOU WEREN'T IN LOVE!" I screamed, she turned back while she was still walking away.
"Arrogant SON OF A BITCH!" Liv yelled back at me, I caught up to her and grabbed her hand.
"Will you stay with me?" I asked,
"STAY WITH YOU?!" Liv asked.

"LOOK AT US! WE'RE FALLING APART" she said.
"THAT'S WHAT PEOPLE DO, LIV!" I said,
"THEY FALL APART, THEY BREAKDOWN" I continued.
"YOU TELL ME WHEN I'M BEING AN ARROGANT SON OF A BITCH AND TELL YOU WHEN YOU'RE BEING A PAIN IN THE ASS" I said,
"And you are, and I am!" I continued. I sighed,
"Life isn't always easy, I learned that. Life isn't always fair, you learned that" I said,
"But we could learn from each other, Liv. You need to learn that I would never try and hurt you" I said.

Tears started to shed down my cheeks.
"I love you, please don't leave me, Liv" I said, while choking up,
"You can't let them take me away from you, because I'm not the same person without you" I continued. Liv looked disgusted,
"That was quite the performance, Derek. Bravo" she said. Liv shook her head in disgust,
"You are so not who I thought you were" she said.

I then had to make a move. I grabbed Liv and pulled her in for a passionate kiss on the lips, when we stopped Liv shoved me again.
"Have fun in jail" she said and she walked away, my life was crushed and I felt so alone. I stood there, watching Liv walk away to her home, I had to get rid of this depressing feeling inside, if it meant getting rid of me.
