I let out a breath as I stood in front of the door. I could hear chatting going on. "It's fine I can do this." I opened the door. The first eyes that met me were the eyes I didn't want to see. Everyone looked over at me. The chatting stopped the happy vibes stopped.

"Surprise!" Riley exclaimed. The tension was obvious. Lucas was staring at me intensely. Like he was trying to read my mind. I could only stand in place. Farkle was shocked too. He kept looking between me and Lucas until a knowing smile came to his face. "Come sit with us." Riley says.

I walked to the table. Lucas's eyes never leaving me. I could tell Riley really wanted me to talk to them. So swallowing the lump in my throat I talked. "Farkle." He nodded. "Maya." I looked over at Lucas. I wasn't talking to him. I wasn't ready. But before I could a protest he spoke. "Short stack." My eyes narrowed slightly. He had a smirk on his face. "Huckleberry." Lucas glared at me. I sat down next to Farkle.

"So Maya how was school?" I gave Farkle a smile. "It was nice. I loved learning about art." I smiled at him. I felt Lucas's eyes on me still. I felt uncomfortable. I looked at him and we made eye contact. I didn't want to look away. But I did. "So we have some news." Riley announced. We all started listening. "Lucas and I are getting married!" I choked a bit on my water as did Cory. "Married?" He asked. They both nodded. I looked at Lucas. Of course I didn't think he'd want me back but marriage?

Cory glared at Lucas. "Lucas hallway. Now" they got up walking out the room. As soon as Lucas was gone it was like the tension disappeared. "So Maya, have a boyfriend?" Farkle asked. I looked over shaking my head. "I think I'm gonna stay single." He shrugged. Farkle gave me a sad smile.

Lucas and Cory both walked in. Lucas again kept his eyes on me. It was like he thought I was going to leave. I let out a sigh. "You okay?" Riley asked. I nodded looking down. "Probably wants to leave and go home." I looked right at Lucas. My narrowed as I looked at him. "What did you say?" I hissed out. Lucas returned my glare. "You heard me." Everyone was watching us. They didn't get it. They didn't know why we had tensions. They never could truly understand me and Lucas's relationship.

"You told me to leave." I spat at him. He let out a breath. "I gave you an option. You left." Riley was extremely confused. Though she knew absolutely nothing about this. About us. "I tried to stay in contact." Lucas growled lowly. "Bull! You never called." Everyone let out a gasp at his language. I glared at him before standing up. "Fine. You want to see me leave you? Fine I'll leave. And just so you know. I called. You never replied." I stormed out the room in anger.

The door slammed behind me. I wanted to cry. I didn't need to come back. I had no one. I just needed to stay where I was. I heard the door open behind me. "Lucas you need to apologize." He stubbornly shook his head. "No way. She angers me." His eyes looked at me. I turned away. He didn't need to see me. "Look she's upset now!" Riley says. Lucas mumbles something. "Just say sorry." I hear the door shut again. I look over at him to see his anger.

"You know. I deep down thought you'd stayed." I turned completely to face him. "I wanted to follow my dream." He sighs. "I know. It's just- ten years?" He asked. I looked down feeling bad. "I didn't mean to cause this." "But you did." I felt the lump in my throat. I can't cry. Definitely not in front of Lucas. But the tears fell anyway. I just looked at him. "I'm sorry I left you." I ran to the elevator. I looked back saw Lucas looking at me.

I sat in my room on the floor. Tears streaming slowly down my face. I hated this. I hated how he still controlled my emotions. I wiped my tears and stood up. "I'm just going to watch Netflix." I murmured. I walked to the little kitchen and got ice cream. As I went to sit down the doorbell rang.

"Hi." I froze as I realized who I was looking at. "Joshua..." He smiled at me. I gave a slight smile. "What are you doing here?" I ask him. "I wanted to see you." I felt myself blushing. "Are you okay?" I realized how I look. "Oh um yeah. I'm fine." Josh looks at me with a knowing look. "Sure you are. Who upset you?" I look away. "Who?" I shrug. "C'mon you can tell me." "No josh I can't i-it's complicated." Josh sighs. "I'm sorry." I smiled at him and let him in.

"What do you want to watch?" I ask him. He shrugs. "Doesn't matter. I actually just want to catch up." I nodded. "That'd be nice." And soon me and Josh are just talking and laughing together.

"Hey Maya?" "Yeah?" Josh looks down blushing slightly. "Remember when you liked me?" He asks shyly. I start blushing too. I nod and smile at him. "Would you still date me?" He asks. I freeze.

Josh just asked me to date him.

"Um well." Josh smiled at me. Who do I have to wait for anyway. "Sure." He smiled and kissed my cheek. "I'm glad. Would you like to go to Topanga's tomorrow?" I smile and nod. "Great I'll pick you up at seven." Josh smiles and walks out. I just feel like I can finally move on.

Ooh Lucas isn't gonna be happy. But tell me how I did for this chapter just some feedback. Also don't forget to comment and vote!
