~Lucas~
There's just some nights you can't resist staring into the sky wondering about life. Wondering if you made the right decisions. Hoping that everything will be alright. That's what happening right now.
"Lucas, it's late come back to bed." Riley whined. I let out a sigh. "Go back to bed. You need to get up tomorrow don't let me keep you up." I told her softly. Riley nodded and gave me a quick peck on the lips. I remember when sparks used to happen. Now not even a little smoke appeared. She walked back inside going to bed, hopefully.
Earlier today I hung out with Maya. She woke up terrified. I hated seeing her scared. I wanted to protect her no matter what. I let out another breath and laid back in the chair. "Hey freak face." Farkle said appearing out of nowhere. "Why am I not surprised." I muttered. Farkle chuckled.
"You can't get rid of me. And soon Riley will be smitten to me." Farkle proudly stated. I rolled my eyes. "Okay Farkle. Want a drink?" I asked. His eyes widen. "Hell no. Hang overs kill me." He said. I laughed a bit. "I meant water. I don't always drink beer." I retorted. Farkle looked at my cup. "Smells like some bullshit if you ask me." He replied smiling.
"Farkle do you have to sit in the corner again?" Maya asked. I jumped a bit and looked at Farkle. "She scared ya didn't she?" He asked smirking. "Oh go sit in a corner." I told him. Farkle frowned and rolled his eyes.
"What's going on?" Maya asked. "My two friends just randomly broke into my home and are now probably going to steal from me." I stated. Maya smirked. "You know me so well. Now give me your cup huckleberry." She said reaching for it.
I quickly pulled it back. "It's not water." I told her. Farkle had a triumph look on his face. "Laugh it up Minkus, I need to have a cool down every once in a while." I said. "Sure sure just give me the damn cup." Maya ordered reaching for it. I rolled my eyes and gave it to her. She took a sip and made a face. "Wow cowboy. I didn't realise you liked strong drinks." She said giving me the cup back.
I could see Farkle smirking from the corner of my eyes. "You should've listened when I said it wasn't water." I told her. She shrugged. "That's the type of drink you drink when you want to get drunk and forget." She claimed. She looked me in the eyes. Her ocean blue eyes were concerned and worried. I quickly looked away. "It's nothing." I muttered.
"Lucas you can tell us. You know that right?" She asked placing a hand on my shoulder. "Yeah you can trust us Lucas." Farkle added. I shrugged looking down. "But Riley, I can't hurt her." I said softly. Farkle sighed and sat next to me. "We care about you." Farkle told me. I nodded. I knew they cared. I cared about them too. But I'm just doing what's best for everyone. "I'm going to bed." I said standing up. They nodded. They gave me a hug before leaving.
I still love her
I laid in bed looking at the ceiling. Why couldn't I just have gone with Maya? Or maybe admitted what we did. But if Riley knew well I wouldn't have a fiancé.
I'm just doing what's best for everyone
