Arguing couples

Me and Lucas walked in our house with high tensions. "Lucas what happened in there wasn't nothing." He let out a rough breath. "I'm sorry okay? I got caught up." He says for the hundredth time. "Lucas there's a difference between caught up and old feelings." I tell him. Lucas throws his jacket on the couch and turns around. "It's not a big deal okay. We butted head all the time in school." He runs a hand through his hair. "Yeah but in school, you two were friends. What happened in there sounded like bitter exes." I spat. Lucas went straight to our room ignoring me.

"Lucas! Lucas come back here I'm talking to you." I angrily yell at him. "What is it?! What do you want me to say Riley? Say I'm sorry that I'm upset. You can't undo feelings." He lets out sigh. "Maybe we need to just... Take a break." He finishes. My mouth falls open. He did not just say that. "Maybe you need to leave." I tell him. Lucas just stares at me. "Fine I'll leave." He roughly says. He starts throwing stuff in his bag before storming out the room.

"Lucas, are we over?" I ask quietly. He looks me in the eyes. I see so many emotions in his eyes, mainly anger and hurt. "I-I don't know." He answers in the same tone. I reach out to him and he just turns to the door. "Uh I'll be back." He mutters. He walks out. I feel the tears I've been holding back slowly fall.

                           He left

   I walk back to our room feeling empty. And for the first time in forever,

I sleep alone

I really left her. What could I do? If I had stayed the argument would've been ten times worse. I drove around till I saw the familiar café.

"Hey there can I get an iced coffee with extra caramel?" I ask. The lady turns and I jump back a bit. "Ms.Hart?" She nods. "That's me. I'll get your order soon." She tells me. It felt weird because it felt like I was looking at Maya. "I'm guessing you heard Maya is back in town?" She asked. I nod not saying anything. "Hmm. I remember you two had a sorta thing going on in high school." She says. I sigh and look away. "Can I just get my coffee?" I ask. She looks at me intensely. " two fifty please?" I look and see my coffee. I hand her my money as she glares at me.

   I continue driving until I can barely keep my eyes open. I park on the road side and just sit there. Thinking about my life and how one simple person can change your world. Slowly my eyes begin to close and I let the darkness take over.

  I wake to my phone ringing loudly. "Hello?" I answer tiredly. "Lucas what the hell did you do?" Farkle asks me. Oh great just what I needed. "We got
in an argument. She told me to leave, I left." I explain. Farkle let out an angry breath. "You're a hypocrite. You whined about Maya leaving and you do the same to Riley." I let out a sigh. "I know but she needed time. And so did I." I heard a voice in the background. Then Farkle told the person something. "Listen she came over crying and a mess. Fix this." Farkle hung up on me. I'll head over to Farkle's. It's not worth ruining what we have.

I pulled up to Farkle's home. It was huge like mansion huge. I slipped out the car and went up to the door. I knocked and Farkle instantly opened up. "You're gonna sit down and tell me how this mess started." He orders as I walk in the living room. "How what started. Me and Maya?" I question. He nods sternly. I let out a breath. Now or never.

"Okay. It started in 9th grade. Art class." I start.

I stood covered in paint glaring at Maya. She also was covered in paint. "What happened in here?!" Mr.Owens yelled. Maya flinched at how loud he was. He glared at us before shaking his head. "Go get cleaned up. You two look like a unicorn puked on you." He muttered. I let out a laugh as we walked out.

"You think this is funny Sundance?" Maya angrily asked. I shrugged. "It depends. You are covered in pink and purple paint." I state. Maya pushes me up against the lockers. "I'm going to hurt you!" She screamed. I could see the anger in her eyes. She was definitely not happy. "Okay I'm sorry. But in my defense you got paint on me first." I say. She glared at me before walking in the girls locker room.

"Lucas what happened?" Riley asked running up to me. "Just a little horse play." I replied. I looked at her smiling. I bent down and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Lucas!" She yells. I can't help but chuckle. She now has green lips on her cheek. "I'll be showering." I tell her.

I walk in the locker room and see it's empty. Quickly shedding my clothes I scrub my body. "Damn it." I mutter. I keep scrubbing but my skin is stained with colors. Mom and Dad will kill me. I let out a sigh. I need to apologize to Maya. I finish up trying to clean myself and get dressed in spare clothes.

   I walk in to the girls locker about to call out her name when I hear it.

It sounded beautiful. I walk around the corner and freeze. Thankfully she had a towel on. "Lucas?!" She asks looking up at me. I nod keeping my eyes on her. "Get out! This is the girls locker room!!" She tells me trying her best not to yell. "Sorry I didn't even think about this." I say feeling dumb. I go to walk out but stop. "Hey Maya? Was that your song?" I ask. She throws a shoe at me barely missing my head. "Get out!!" She yells. I run out the locker room and lean against the wall.

   A few minutes later Maya comes out. "You got some guts cowboy." She says glaring at me. Though I can't help but notice how beautiful her eyes look or how kissable her lips look. I realize she's giving me a little talk and just smile. "Are you even listening?" She questions. "Not really." I replied. She lets out a frustrated breath. "Stop that." She threatened. I can't help but find it cute how she curls her tiny fists ups in anger. "How mad would you be if I kissed you?" I ask. She stops and just stares. Instantly her eyes narrow at me. "Why would I want to-" but I cut her off. I planted my lips on hers feeling something new. Maya finally kissed back after a few seconds. Then we separated. "Do not tell Riley." She said. I nodded. "Our little secret." I whisper.

Farkle looks at me shocked. "So you guys had been fooling us for four years?" He asks. I shrug and look down. "You could say. I just- I need to think out my feelings." I say quietly. Farkle nods and goes to the kitchen.

   Well....that happened. Don't own Best thing that I got. That goes to Sabrina carpenter. Put the video up there if you can't resist listening to the song now. Also that drama tho. Sorry about not updating yesterday.
