"And then he fell flat on his face!" We all burst out laughing as Benjo finished telling his story.
We had decided to all eat dinner together: me, Conner, Benjo, Angel, Opie and Rosie.
"Hey! Sweetheart! Why don't you come hang with some real Dauntless?" A deep voice shouted from behind. I span a round and there stood a tall, broad shouldered, Dauntless boy.
He had a small wisp of a goatie and a mop of chocolate brown hair nearly falling in his eyes. I had to admit he was very cute, but the Cocky smirk playing on his lips made my blood boil.
By my side, Conner tensed, but I shouted: "I thought real Dauntless had bigger muscels!" I turn around to try tell him I didn't want to talk.
"What did you say, bitch?" Conner immediately shot up, making his way towards the idiot. I had to jog to catch up with his fast pace and long strides.
"Awww have to get your big bad boyfriend to take care of you? How pathetic!" He spat. Conner shoved him back so hard he fell into his large group of friends.
He stumbled back to his feet and looked at my boyfriend, murder in his eyes. I grabbed Conner's arm and tried to pull him away, but before I could move, the tall boy punched Conner straight in the face.
The force of the punch pushed Conner backwards into me. I lost my footing and fell, dread filling my stomach. The crack of my skull on the stone floor gave me a nauseating feeling.Blurry figures stood before me as I slowly fell into oblivion.
