I walk away, my heart pounding. I don't really know what I did or what I'm doing now, I'm just walking, with a numb feeling in my stomach.

Tap tap tap go my feet on the rock floor. I don't how I got there, but I find myself in the chasm, sitting on a eroded rock. The spray of icy water hits my face like heavy hale, but I just stay there, letting it redden and bruise me.

I don't know how long I stay there, the crash of rushing water blurring everything into one. But at some point Opie finds me and just sits next to me. I'm glad he doesn't try to make me talk, I don't know what I would say in my stunned state.

Eventually I turn to him and sigh.
"I'm guessing you would like to know how I kicked that guys butt so easily?" I ask, hoping that he doesn't.
"Ahhh... Yeah that would be nice" he says, still staring into the cascading water.

I run a hand down my face.
"I lived in dauntless until I was thirteen" at this Opie looks at me, cocking a eyebrow, gesturing for me to go on.

"My real parents were high up in Dauntless. They only went out on important missions, the rest of the time they spent training themselves and... Me" I choke on the last word, but try to cover it up with a cough. It doesn't work and Opie gives me a apologetic look.

"Why did you leave, then? I've never heard of anyone moving factions before they're sixteen" he asks.

"One day they were called out to Amity for a very special job. Some maniac had planted bombs and my parents and a few other soldiers had to find and defuse them. Everything was going well until one bomb got set off. They died in the explosion" I tell him.

"I had no other family in Dauntless, so I was sent to Candor to live with some old relatives-" I hear a stifled sob and turn towards to the wonky stone steps that lead to the chasm. I see a flash of brown hair dispear up them, but that's all I need to see to know who it was. Rebecca.
