The Attack

The Next day in the den

Everyone is getting ready for the pack hunt. Yoongi calls for Jin, and soon Jin and Yoongi join each other outside the den. " Hyung, I was thinking about what happened differently than the other times I had travelled or panicked that could have changed things with my wolf. And hyung, please don't ever think I'm suspecting our pack, but the only thing that's different from all the previous other times is Jungk–"

" Yoongi-ah, I don't like where this is going," cuts Jin.

" Hyung, please trust me. I would never suspect him. It's just the circumstances, I guess. Think about it, his pack members are inside our territory, who believes in some stupid prophecy–"

" Yeobo" calls Jungkook.

" I'm here, wait a minute," shouts Jin and turns towards Yoongi, " We'll talk about this later, and I don't want anyone else to know about this."

"Sure, hyung," replies Yoongi, and they both join everyone in the Den who are ready to leave.

Everyone turns into their wolf form and leaves. Jin is so lost in his thoughts, and that has not gone unnoticed by Jungkook. Jungkook moves closely with Jin and tries to ask if everything is okay before they leave for the hunt with their separate groups, but Jin doesn't seem to notice.

Soon, they reached the place where they had planned to split into groups.

" Let's meet here after the hunt. Also, let's not venture too deep today. We have so many issues going on, so avoid strangers if you smell any of them. Shout for help immediately if you feel danger, and we'll be there," said Jin, looking at Jungkook along with Namjoon and Jimin.

Jin feels sceptical about not spending the hunt with Jungkook. He suddenly feels uneasy. He feels like they might not really have a happy hunt today. Maybe it was all because of his conversation with Yoongi before leaving the Den, but he had been feeling this way since the morning.

Jungkook looks at Jin and nods. They then split into groups and leave for the hunt.

Yoongi and Tae:

"You okay?" asks Tae.

" Yeah. I'm good," replies Yoongi. Tae could feel his mate was lost in his thoughts. He feels like this might be because of what had happened in the pack last week. So he is okay spending time with Yoongi in silence.

They soon turn their focus on the prey they found. Usually, it's Tae who initiates the attack, followed by Yoongi in the opposite direction so that the prey doesn't escape them. Tae moved close to the prey and turned to check if Yoongi was on the other side. But Yoongi was a few feet away from him and not on the other side.

Tae frowned and signalled Yoongi to move to the other side, but his signals were soon noticed by the prey, and they soon ran away. Frustrated by Yoongi, he moved towards Yoongi.

As soon as he got close to Yoongi, Tae noticed Yoongi was completely frozen. It was as if he was just physically here, mentally somewhere.

" Hyung!!" Tae nudges Yoongi with his paws. Yoongi moves and looks at Tae as if he were some monster and immediately moves away.

"Hyung, what's happening? You are scaring me."

Jin and Hoseok:

" Hyung" Hoseok happily growled as they both caught the prey with great coordination. Hoseok and Jin could still feel the adrenaline rush the hunt gave. They both felt like they needed this.

As they were enjoying the moment, Jin suddenly felt a pang of pain in his stomach. Noticing Jin's uneasiness, Hoseok rushes to his side.

He was not hit during the hunt, so he couldn't understand why he was feeling this pain.

" What happened to Hyung?" asks Tae, who came running towards them along with Yoongi. "Why are you guys here? Did something happen?" Hoseok asks, worried if they had met with any of the other pack members.

Jin looked at Yoongi, they both felt the same thing- Danger. " Let's leave," Jin shouted in pain.

Tae held Jin back, " Hyung, what's happening here?"

Jin looked at Tae and Hoseok, " I'll explain everything, but we should find Namjoon. It feels like they are not safe"

" But Hyung, if they really met with the other pack members, then they would've shouted for help," says Hoseok

"Hobi, please trust us," says Yoongi firmly.

Tae looks at Jin and Yoongi sceptically, "Okay, I don't understand anything you both are telling us, but now I don't have any other choice but to trust whatever gut feeling you both have, so let's move."

All four of them rush to reach the trio.

The Trio:

Namjoon happily said, " Finally, we had an amazing hunt today. Let's get to the waterfalls"

Jungkook feels weird all of a sudden. He keeps looking around to check if there is anyone else. Jimin comes near and asks, " Jungkookah, is everything okay?"

" Hyung, I don't really feel good. Shall we get back to the Den?"

"Oh, but–"

There is a rustling sound coming from the other side, and Namjoon comes quickly to stand before the omegas.

There comes a wolf, huge, with scars around the body. Namjoon growls at the wolf. But the wolf keeps looking at Jungkook. Jungkook doesn't move, and Jimin can feel Jungkook's stillness because of the wolf standing in front of them.

The wolf quickly understands that the two wolves near Jungkook are mates, and to move the alpha away from Jungkook, he can do it the easiest way.

The wolf moves quickly to attack Jimin and pushes him away. Namjoon thought the wolf would have to attack him before attacking the omegas. He was so ready to attack the wolf while trying to protect both Jimin and Jungkook, but didn't expect his mate to be pushed this way. His body moves immediately towards Jimin, leaving Jungkook alone. Just like Jihaan wanted.

Jungkook looks at the wolf and howls so hard to let his pack members know they are in danger. And immediately, he feels Jin's voice telling him to get ready to attack and assures him they are on their way to him. Jungkook is a mountain wolf. He has been alone for the last few years and managed to live just fine. And the best part is that he knows Jihaan.

Jungkook doesn't wait for Jihaan to attack first. He moves quickly and attacks. Jihaan didn't expect Jungkook to really fight him.

Namjoon soon joins Jungkook to fight Jihaan. Both have been trained to hunt as partners, so they quickly tried the same strategy that Namjoon taught Jungkook while hunting. They both attack Jihaan sharply. Jihaan didn't expect such a partnership. While partnership in attacks usually involves wolves who grew up together or mates. But their partnership felt like they were siblings who grew up together with the best training.

Namjoon didn't stop even though he hurt his leg. Soon, they heard howls from a group of wolves. Jihaan realised there were other wolves nearby and tried to run away from the duo as quickly as possible. Namjoon and Jungkook realised Jin and the others nearby, so they were ready to take hits if it meant the wolf didn't get to run away before their pack arrived.

But Jihaan was badly hurt and had to escape the other pack that was coming towards them. So he pushed with all the strength he had and started running away.

He started running, but could hear different howls letting him know that other wolves near Jungkook would help him. Now that he knew Jungkook had a wolf pair to help, he would also have to use some help to take Jungkook with him.
