The Hunter and the Huntress carefully and quietly explored the forest that was just at the edge of Equestria.
A place that was very much less journeyed and passed compared to the Everfree Forest.
The cousins wasn't sure why they were sent there, but only knew that anything they encountered in the forest must be eliminated on sight.
No mercy.
No hesitation.
Hence why they have the title of Hunter and Huntress.
Unfortunately, this doesn't mean that they were invincible and unstoppable.
Ogidni's horn quickly lifted up his sword and attacks the creature that was creeping up behind. But he missed as the creature dodged it.
Orange moves back to give Ogidni space.
The creature pounces once more and this time, Ogidni didn't miss. The creature gave a shrill cry when the sword struck its eye.
Enraged by what he had done, the creature sprinted towards him. Ogidni steps aside and realized that the creature was heading straight to Orange.
Without thinking, he tackled the creature down and finally killed it.
However, he didn't come out of the fight unscratched.
After untangling the creature from Ogidni, Orange winced and was at the verge of fainting from the sight of the wound. Nevertheless, she bandaged the wound.
Ogidni stiffened but didn't say anything. He wasn't exactly the type of stallion to show weakness, and neither was he the talkative one.
"I can take care of myself... You didn't have to do that, d-dummy!" Orange pouts.
To her dismay, he grunted in response.
"I wish we are the strongest thing here in this forest... maybe then... you wouldn't have to worry about me."
This caught Ogidni's attention, breaking him from silence.
"I wished for that too."
Orange sighed before hugging him, Ogidni reluctantly returned it.
Unbeknownst to them, their wishes were heard by somepony hiding behind a tree.
'Be careful of what you wish for.'
