Lore;
Diamond was once an experiment that had been brought alive through unknown, dark ways by a crazy scientist who went by the name 'S'.
He was originally planned to become a weapon for his creator's master but fortunately, he had managed to escape from the wretched place.
For a few days, he had been struggling and had barely managed to stay alive. Until it had rained one day, forcing him to take refuge in an abandoned building.
Seeing that there were ponies inside, Diamond scrambled to get out. But he couldn't. He later on realized that the place was some sort of game based of teamwork and maze.
At first, he was scared but seeing how they were kind, it made him feel less scared of them. Although they were mostly kind, there were some ponies that talked badly about Diamond and others thought about selling Diamond off to be rich once they have left the maze.
They mocked him of his identity, saying he was just a 'plastic diamond'. It wasn't true as his body was indeed made from real diamonds.
Diamond's unfiltered honesty, arrogance and ego didn't help. That is... when something had happened to him. After that, he became more shy to ponies he had never met before.
He gives a little light to those he deemed kind as well as guiding them to the exit. Even though he didn't know where the exit was...
Sometimes his old self resurfaces but it never stays for too long. If somepony tried to press more about his past, he'll either shut down or try to ignore them and talk about something else.
