I checked the time as I entered my house. Only 11:30. Good. Then I heard, "ATTACK!" I whipped around and saw Elliot charging at me. I quickly ran away, but I saw their plan immediately. Unfortunately it was too late, I ran straight into Axel's arms. He flipped me over his shoulder and I pounded his strong back. "LET ME GO!!" I yelled. Elliot came behind me and smacked my butt. "HEY!! Watch it there! I'm not above kicking your teeth out!" They just snickered, but I could tell they took my threat seriously. Axel flipped me onto the couch, and they hovered over me. "Have fun?" Axel asked innocently. I blew my hair out of my face. "Yeah, until I got here." Axel smiled while Elliot rolled his eyes. "We only do it because we love you." Axel said, which made Elliot have a disgusted face. "Ew! No we don't!" I smiled. "Come on El! You love me." He shook his head no, so I reached up, put his neck in the crook of my elbow, and brought him back down to the couch. I dug my fist into his dark hair. "Admit it! You love me!" Elliot struggled against me, but because of the angle he couldn't get free. "Never!!" I tightened my grip and rubbed harder. "Say it El!" He sighs. "Fine! I kind of like you!" I thought it over. "Close enough." Releasing him, he fell on the floor, but he quickly stood back up. "Well, I'm tired." I hopped up and wrapped my arms around both of their shoulders. "I'm not afraid to say it. I love you both very much!" Elliot squirmed under my grasp, but Axel hugged me back. He loved affection just like I did. I looked them in their eyes. Axel's green ones, Elliot's hazel ones. I finally smiled and went to bed.
I woke up to the sound of whimpering. "Lillie...." I moaned. It was Saturday, early in the morning, sun barely rising. "I don't want to walk you now." She rubbed her wet nose against my cheek. "Nooooo..." Lick lick. "NO!" She rested her paw on my shoulder. I looked up at her. "I hate you." She panted and wagged her tail, not caring about what I just said.
You know, on a chilly Saturday morning, wearing a tank top and shorts, I think all of us would rather be sleeping. But no, I was walking my dog in my pajamas, which consisted of my tank top and shorts. Lillie happily trotted along, basically dragging me towards our park. I was too tired to walk her around, so I sat and threw a tennis ball. This went on for about 10 minutes, and after that I threw it again. This time, she took the ball and ran over a hill and I couldn't see her. I got confused for a second, but then she was running back towards me, so I relaxed. But when she put a red ball in my hand, I went back to being confused. "Um, where's your green tennis ball?" I asked her. I saw a boy coming over the hill, dog by his side, green thing in his hand. "You stole another dogs ball?!?! Lillie..." I say, disappointed. She gives me puppy dog eyes as I stand up to go meet the boy.
I recognize the dog before I recognize the person. "You stole from Michael Rockford?!" I exclaimed in a whisper. More puppy dog eyes. "Ugh." Lillie ran towards Michael's dog Becker and he did the same. They ran in circles around each other as Michael and I got closer. "Um, I uh, think this is yours." He smiled his confident smile and spoke in his confident voice. "Yes it is. And this one is yours?" He presented the green tennis ball. "Y-Yes. Sorry my dog stole from you." He only smiled. "It totally happens." Our fingers grazed as we exchanged his red ball and my tennis ball. I pretended not to notice. "So, that's an interesting choice of clothing." I glance down at my attire. "Oh snap!!" I exclaimed. I tried multiple positions in an attempt to cover myself, but none worked. Eventually I gave up, putting my arms to my sides. I brought my hand up to my temple. "Yeah, they're uh... They're kind of my pajamas." I was looking at the ground, but when I glanced up at him he looked slightly amused. Not laughing, amused. "Care to explain?" A smile danced on his lips, brining one to mine. "My dog woke me up and I was too lazy to change. I didn't think I'd see anyone." He raised his eyebrows and I gave an embarrassed grin. "Really? I'm up and dressed by 6 every morning, ready to go." I shook my head. "I can't even, no, I could never do that." This time he did smile, a dazzling white one. "Well, I guess I'll see you around Opal." He waved and walked away, Becker trotting after him. I pulled up my tank top, and walked in the opposite direction.
"OPAL!! OPAL!!" Someone called, running down the hall. I turned just in time to have Rosie run smack into me. We nearly tumble to the ground, but I quickly placed my left foot behind me, stabling us. "What in the Lord's great name are you doing?!" I cried, setting her back on her feet. "Bea broke up with Blake!" She looked worried. I put a calm face on. "These things happen. You don't need to worry." Her eyes still wide, she shook her head. "No, um, she kinda said she was going to beat him up like, oh..." She glanced at the clock. "In 2 minutes." Shock covered my face. "Oh no. Let's go!" I exclaimed, putting my backpack on both shoulders and sprinting. Rosie was close behind me. "Where?!" I asked, just as a teacher yelled, "Slow down! No running!" We slowed to a speed walk. "In the courtyard." She said. We made it outside.
The way our school was laid out and where we came out, we would have to run across the football field. "Let's go!" I yelled, breaking out into a run. I heard Rosie behind me, but she was getting farther and farther from me. We made it out of the field, courtyard in sight. "Slow down track star!" Rosie called. I had long legs that carried me swiftly. I smiled, looking at her as I ran. "You know I'm not on track! I can just sprint well." I wasn't looking where I was running, which is a huge mistake. I ran into something. It was hard and big and came down with me. I realized it was a person, and that person and I tumbled to the ground. We were a mess of limbs when we landed. "Opal?" Rosie asked as she got closer. "Just go stop Bea from getting suspended!" I called. She nodded and left. I looked over at the groaning person I was entangled with. "Oh just peachy." I said as I recognized the brown eyes. "Just brilliant."
