"You have to tell mom and dad." Elliot told me after I explained everything. I sighed. "But I don't wanna!" I whined like a baby. He crossed his arms and rolled his eyes. "Sometimes I wonder how you're 14 months older. I'm clearly more mature." I stomped my foot. "I can be mature!" He rolled his eyes. "You could be 8." I shoved him hard. "An 8 year old that can beat your butt!! Get back here!!" I yelled as he ran away.

"I'm home!" My father announced as he came in. He stopped as he gazed upon the scene before him. I had Elliot pinned to the ground, a loogie trailing from my lips. Elliot had squeezed his eyes shut, turning his head and trying to avoid it. "Dad!" I cried, wiping my mouth and standing. "Sorry, I was just..." "SNEAK ATTACK!!" Elliot yelled, jumping on my back, causing me to collapse to the ground. "Ow! Elliot!!" I yelled. "Haha!! Who's laughing now?!" I struggled under his weight but it was useless. He worked out and his muscle was extremely heavy.

"Opal has something to tell you! Don't you Ope?" He asked teasingly. "NO!! I do not! He's a liar!" My father looked at me with his kind, overworked eyes. "Are you telling the truth Opal?" I sighed, hard to do with the weight on my stomach. "No I'm not. I might've nearly punched some rotten kid in the nose... BUT DON'T WORRY! Lawson from down the street and Josh towards the front of the neighborhood stopped me! I didn't actually punch him."

My dad pondered this for a while. "Were the cameras rolling?" He asked. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Um, no. Sub bus driver." He thought some more. "Did he deserve it?" He asked. I nodded. "YEAH HE DID! Honestly I'm sorry I didn't reach his nose with my fist." He shrugged. "Then I don't see anything wrong. Tell you what, I didn't hear a thing." I raised my eyebrows. "Are you serious?" My father gave me an innocent look. "Am I serious about what?" He smirked and went downstairs to the basement. "Ha! Sucker!" I yelled at Elliot. Before he could escape I popped my finger in my mouth and stuck it in his ear. "AH!!! Gross!!" He exclaimed, throwing himself off of me. "Haha! Loser." I said, walking away.

"NYC!!! JUST GOT HERE THIS MORNING! THREE BUCKS! TWO BAGS! ONE ME!!" Alice proudly sang as we walked through the halls. If I were to look at us from someone else's eyes, you would see a very happy looking Alice, and a very annoyed looking me. I had a scowl on my lips and a glare in my eyes. This was her seventh time going through this Annie song, and I was about to lose it. She reached the end of the song and I sighed in relief. That's when she started back up again. "DEAR LORD ALICE!! I LOVE YOU BUT PLEASE STOP!!!" I exclaimed.

I got a few looks but I ignored them. She gradually piped down. "Thank you. I know you're excited for New York, why don't you talk about it instead? I can take the chatter." She glared at me but started talking instead. I smiled in victory.

"It's scarred!" I said in defeat, slumping down into the lunch seat. Rosie pointed her fork at me. "You're making too big a deal out of nothing." She said through her mini pizza. I felt my temple. "I feel like it's a big deal. What if people make the connection?!" I asked, very concerned. Bea sighed. "They won't. It's a small white scar on your temple. Plus his is on the opposite side. No one will make the connection, calm your pants." I snickered. "Calm your pants?" She smacked my arm. "Yes, now don't make fun of my sayings!" I giggled some more.

"Oh so you never told me. What happened between you and Blake?" Rosie snickered. "Have you not seen his black eye?" I slammed my hands on the table. "BLACK EYE?!" Rosie laughed and Bea got a devilish grin. "Maybe. But it wasn't my fault!" Bea exclaims. I sighed. "Just tell me." She took a deep breath to start her story. "Okay let's start from the beginning. I might've been the one breaking up with him, but I had a reason. Rumor had it he had a girlfriend before me, and still had her when he asked me out. So I went to go talk to him."

"Right as Rosie was running up to us in the courtyard, we had established he still had a girlfriend. Apparently she knew about me and was totally cool with it, as long as she could keep the girlfriend status with him. I was near tears, and Rosie's whole attitude changed from trying to stop me to making Blake pay for almost making me cry. Without any explanation, she saw the tears pooling, turned and nailed him in his right eye. My tears have never gone away so fast. I think I actually started laughing." Bea says. My mouth open, I looked at Rosie. She shrugged. "One week of detention, but all worth it to do that for Bea." They smiled at each other and I couldn't close my mouth. My friends were insane, but I did nearly punch a dude in the nose, so I guess I had no room to talk.

"Opal!" Came a voice I never thought I'd hear again. "Park? What do you want now? You're like a cockroach, I can't get rid of you." I closed my locker and tried to walk away, but he followed me. "Look. I need you for something again." I scoffed. "Too bad. I'm not talking with you. We had a deal, we both held up our ends, end of story." He caught up with me and stepped in front of me, causing my steps to cease. "Well I need you again." He was trying to hide his desperation, I could tell. It wasn't working.

I stuck my chin out. "Why would I? What can you do for me?" I was determined not to help him. I despised Park, I would never help him again. But he seemed confident in his argument. "I have the authority you need." I quirked an eyebrow, and leaned in closer to his face, gritting my teeth. "What possible authority could you have for me?" I narrowed my eyes and crossed my arms, not backing down. He leaned in too, so much so that I could feel his breath on the tip of my nose. "Your friends have no problem with us anymore, you took care of that. But it won't be the last time they do something. Think about what I could do for them from now on." That's when I backed away, a bit shocked.

"This must be really important. What can I do for you?" He seemed surprised that I complied, or at least asked. "I need you to come over to my house." My face contorted into disgust. "Ew. Really?" He sighed, and now we were a normal distance apart. "Yes, sadly. My mom wants to see you again." I smiled in my head, not on the outside though. I didn't want him to see me smile.

Instead I poked him in the chest. "One time. I will do this. But listen to me when I tell you this..." I started poking him in the middle of his chest, causing him to back up. "You WILL get them out of everything in this school that they get mad. All the clubs, all the teachers, all the sports, ev-er-y-one." I sounded out each syllable. He held his hands up in surrender. "I'll try my best." I sighed. "Then I will do it." I regretted it, but I knew I had to do it.
