Third Person POV
Jisoo froze the second she saw the person standing at the door.
Taehyung stood there.
For a moment, neither of them spoke. The private room felt too small, too quiet, like the air had been sucked out.
Three years.
Three years since she last saw him, since everything shattered in the mess of rumours, betrayal, and a scandal that left her humiliated and heartbroken.
Jisoo hand't realized it, but her grip tightened around the wine glass in her hand
"You've got to be kidding me."
Taehyung looked just as stunned, though he masked it quickly. "I—Jimin said—"
"Of course he did," she cut in, a bitter laugh slipping out. "You can leave."
"Jimin I don't even want to hear your explanation, take your girlfriend and leave." Jisoo tried to remain calm. She refused to give them the satisfaction of knowing how much this was affecting her, though it was painfully obvious.
Rosé was now sprawled on the floor, half out of her shoes, completely passed out.
Empty bottles scattered around the table, evidence of the cause of their drunk state.
"Jisoo I know you're also drunk, it's not safe for you to be alone right now. Let us take you home." Jimin said, guilt written all over his face.
He should feel guilty, Jisoo hated him for bringing Taehyung along. He had no right to serve her his presence into a silver platter like she'd appreciate it.
Jisoo knew being in Korea meant possibly running into him, she just wasn't ready to see him so soon.
"Over my dead body," Jisoo snapped. "I am not getting in a car with you or with him."
"I'll call Irene to pick me up, you guys can leave." Jisoo was stern with her response.
"We'll leave once Irene unnie is here." Taehyung said quietly.
Like a reflex Jisoo rolls her eyes, already feeling the headache forming. "Unbelievable."
Minutes had passed and several missed calls later, still no answer.
It felt like the universe was ganging up on her, just like Jimin had tonight.
"Jisoo... I know you're tired and drunk. Let us take you home. I promise you won't even notice there are four of us in the car..." Jimin tried, clearly in damage control mode.
Jimin had good intentions, he thought maybe forcing the two to meet up will encourage Taehyung to finally have the courage to talk to Jisoo and explain his side.
Now, he realized it might have been too soon.
"Fine," Jisoo said sharply. "But you're driving. And I'm sitting in the front."
She snatched the keys from Jimin's hand and strode toward the parkade without looking back.
They could deal with Rosé themselves.
All she knew was that she wanted nothing to do with Taehyung. The faster she got home, the better.
☯︎☯︎☯︎
The next morning, Jisoo had woken up with such a massive migraine. Hangover she thought.
And what better way to relieve this hangover than to work out?
