Chapter 5- Did i really just do that?

"Your looking for me?" I questioned.

"Yeah, I wanted to ask you something, and I know now probably isn't the time but I've been wanting to do this for a while now." Josh explains.

"Do what?"

"Do you maybe want to go out to dinner sometime or like watch a movie? Your choice!" Josh says so nervously.

Oh my God. Is this actually happening right now. I'm being asked out on a date. By Josh, I never thought this would happen.

"So like a date? or?"

"Yeah something like that if its ok with you."

"Yeah sure how about tomorrow night?" I asked.

"Yeah sounds great I'll pick you up at 8:00."

"Ok bye"

Wait why was I even walking down the hospital hallway anyways? Oh yeah to tell Luke and Sara where we were going. Shit I'm not going back there and talking to Luke after Josh just asked me on a date. I better go find Sara.

Sara was right where I expected her to be. Chilling on the waiting room couch, waiting to see her mom since the rule was only two people at a time.

"Hey Sara, will you be ok here with Josh? Me and Luke wanted to go to Subway to grab a bite to eat."

"Yeah it's fine, I'll get a ride home with Josh in a little bit. See you later and have fun on your date!" Sara says, smirking.

"Trust me it's not a date!"

"Sure seems like it." She blurted back.

I just giggled and turned away just about to walk down the hall when I heard her voice.

"Oh Rayna can I tell you something?"

"Yeah sure go for it!" I said.

"I think I may have a little crush on Josh I think he may like me back too. I know there's an age difference but do you think I might have a chance?"

Wow. I couldn't believe those words. A crush on Sara? No way that's not possible he just asked me on a date.

"I don't know. Maybe but I have to go."

With that I sprung off down the hallway again to meet up with Luke.

"Ready to go Ray?" Luke yells.

"Yup, let's go!"

Subway is pretty great I have to say. We both ordered the same thing. A cold cut on white bread with cheese, lettuce, pineapple, and pickles, with a little mayo. Me and Luke sat down for about two hours talking about life, and just enjoying ourselves.

"What time is it?"

I looked down at my phone.

"10:55" I announced.

"Oh my gosh it's getting late. This place closes in a few minutes too! I'll call the cab!"

When we got into the back seat of the cab the driver asked where we wanted to go.

"Drive us to 12 Walnut Avenue please."

That was Luke's address which meant the both of us were going to his place. It's past curfew. I was supposed to be home at 10:30. Luke is one special guy!

"Ray?"

"Yeah?"

"Can you please stay over tonight? it'll just be us. Sara's going to grandmas house. I don't want to stay alone." He questions.
