Both Beth and Daryl were nervous about leaving Amelia with a non-relative babysitter. Lori Grimes told her that she had thought Lizzie Samuels was a great babysitter until she and Rick had come home a bit early and found her making out with her boyfriend, Patrick.

"Not that I can really judge," Lori laughed. "Rick stopped over almost every time when I babysat as a teen."

"What about Sophia?" Daryl offered, while they were lying in bed later that night. "She seems like a great kid and her mom seemed to whip Merle into shape since he started seein' her."

"Never thought there'd be a woman who could tame Merle Dixon," Beth laughed. "Carol probably deserves an award or somethin'."

"Yeah, well if it goes well, maybe we can have overnight date nights," Daryl whispered beginning to kiss Beth's neck.

"I hope you have protection or we'll have another baby to be babysat," Beth giggled.

"I ain't a Boy Scout but I'm always prepared," Daryl joked.

Beth laughed. She loved this side of Daryl. The side that is only shown to the few that are closest to him. When she first met him she never thought Daryl ever laughed in his life, nor told a corny joke. But now, it's like his stoic side is a distant memory to her.
