ELI POV:

The smell of blood hit my nostrils as I walked outside. I lifted my head to inhale the scent and followed it.

I followed it into the dark woods and came upon a halt when I saw a body of a young adolescent male. I walked closer to see his non existent throat filled with blood. A few feet away laid the huge chunk of the rest of his throat. Someone had tore it out.

I heard a shuffle behind me and saw a shadowed body stand up from the ground and started running towards me. I quickly turned my body into attack mode and growled until I saw the body run into the moons light.

The body was another young man who was grabbing at his throat that was still spitting blood through his fingers. His eyes were wide and blood shot and a vein in his forehead was very prominent.

I ran over to him and applied more pressure to his neck with my own hands.

'Erich I need you and a couple more fighters to come down to the west woods by my house now!' I mind linked my Beta.

'Of course, what happened?' He replied instantly.

'I think my brother has attacked two pack members, both males. Ones dead and another is dying.'

'Okay.'

I sat there looking around for any sign of my brother. The dying man's hands had loosened there grip on his neck and I heard his heart beat fade into nothing.

I exhaled deeply and put my head down in sorrow. I removed my hands from his neck and stood up wiping my bloody hands on my shorts.

I heard a whimper come from a few feet away. I lowly growled and made my way quickly towards the weak sound.

Just then I saw young girl, maybe a couple years younger than my Serena, hunched up with her knees up to her chest and her face resting in her hands  hands.

I stood there for a good minute not knowing what to do or say. She finally looked up sensing my presence. Her blood shot foggy blur eyes and her tear stained cheeks made her look weak and vulnerable. Something I do not allow in my pack.

"Stop crying and look at me." I demanded.

Her breath was shaky and short as she tried to make herself stop.

She kept her face in her hands and her crying stopped.

"State your name." I demanded.

"Janice." She mumbled.

"What happened here? Did you see who attacked those two men?" I asked.

She started softy crying again and I could tell she tried to hold her sobs back.

I scratched the back of my neck not knowing how to calm her down. I was about to kneel down to her level when I heard a shuffle behind me.

"Alpha." Erich reached me with 2 other men behind him.

"Take the bodies to Dr. Jenny." I pointed to the dead bodies a few feet away from us.

"Okay." He picked the body of the man that I tried to save. The other two picked up the other deceased body.

"What about the girl?" Erich asked.

"I'll deal with her. Go. And warn the others to stay near their homes."I said. "My brother is dangerous."
