"Oh great it is only my second day and I am running late." I thought running the block to school, my left shoe was untied and my bangs were falling in my face. "Crap!" I pulled the front door opened and ran in, "where's my class, where's my class! Double crap!" I tried to remember where Katie took me yesterday, I stopped and looked around "there!" I opened the door slowly the teacher wasn't in and the students were all walking around the room. I looked around and spotted Gerak he was looking out the window, I walked into the classroom, panting slightly.

"Hey look it's the new girl I'm surprised she didn't get lost on the way here!"

"Triple crap!" I thought once I heard Alec's voice behind me I instantly looked at Jeremy's seat, empty, "Well isn't this my lucky day?" I kept walking trying to ignore Alec.

"Well I see your listening skills haven't improved since yesterday." Alec complained "and I noticed your knight in shining armor isn't here to protect you."

"Yeah I noticed that too," I whispered making my way to my seat, until I felt something on my shoulder stalling me.

"So what do you say?" My body stiffened as I felt hot breath going down my neck "You want to study at my house tonight?"

"Oh please, I don't study with little boys." I snap as I try to pull away, but Alec held on tighter.

"Little boys?" Alec put his other hand on my waist. "You want me to prove that I'm not a little boy?" He turned me around, and I could see his wicked evil grin he leaned down I tried to pull away but he was too strong.

"Alec!" He was suddenly yanked away and I was in the arms of someone else I looked up and there he was, Gerak. He had one arm wrapped around me the other was the one that had pushed Alec away.

"G....Gerak!" Alec stammered backing away, "what the...what the heck why are you..."

"Shut up Alec!" Gerak snapped, his face was dark and his voice was nearly a growl. "Leave her alone, before I get angry." I heard him growl and his arm tightened around me.

"W...Why should I?" Alec stood tall making himself seem fearless, but his voice and hands were shaking.

Gerak looked down at me, his inhuman green eyes looked like they were ready to kill.

"Gerak?" I whisper looking into his eyes.

"If I hear of you touching Lindal ever again, I won't go easy on you." He growled still looking at me, his arm tightened around me. I found myself smiling up at him as his eyes softened "Come on Lindal," He pulled me with him to our seats.

"Thanks Gerak, but you..." I stopped when Gerak brought me to my seat and turned me to face him, "what?" I asked looking at his face.

"You okay?" He questioned as his eyes examined me as if I had just been in a car wreck he was grabbing me by the shoulders.

"Yes, Gerak I'm fine." I said looking up at him and I smiled "thanks, you didn't have to do that though." I pushed away his hands.

Gerak chuckled, "so I found you when you get lost and now I save you from that idiot Alec." He sighed and dropped his arms down to his sides, "maybe next time I'll bring a sword and a shiny shield to protect you with." He winked and went to his seat.

"Nah I don't think you can qualify as a Knight in shining armor, more like the wolf lurking the forest." I teased taking my seat and grinning at him, there was a slight half-smile on his lips.

"Yeah maybe you are right, but not a wolf those are so cliche more like a panther." He grinned "you like cats Lindal?" He winked, but not his usual wink this one took my breath away almost completely. I found myself smiling and blushing at the same time.
