Shopping, seemingly endless shopping, luckily it did end, however it ended after the sun went down and the air chilled.
"Did it have to take so long?" Jurry whined, Ter and Jurry were carrying the bags my mother refused to hold.
"Yes us women need our clothes." Yup that's my mother, cloths, shopping, boys. She gave me a sly wink and kept walking I too was carrying bags of clothes, but they were filled with my new clothes.
"How long till we get home?" Ter complained.
"Well we have a while to go..." The boys instantly started groaning. "Oh stop that a little exercise is good for the soul!"
"Not to mention you could stand to lose a few pounds Ter!" I said glancing back just in time to see Ter glaring at me.
"Hey who's that?" Jurry's voice was curious.
"Who's who?" We all looked to where Jurry's eyes led, and hiding in the shadows were eyes watching us.
"I don't know." My mother whispered the eyes bounded over the bushes and walked around us, it was a wolf, a big wolf.
"Well he doesn't look too friendly." Ter grunted as it growled, we watched its eyes dance between to three of us then land on my mom.
"Oh no you don't!" Jurry growled his voice getting deeper and a thick growl rolled out of his throat.
"Jurry, calm down." My words were crisp and cut through his growl, then headlights blinked on the road from behind us and the beast bounded away.
"Need a ride?" It was Jeremy pulling up beside us, he wasn't in his car he was driving a truck but he wasn't driving he was in the back.
My mother looked stiff as she gazed into the window of the passenger side. "Thank you for the offer, but-"
"Lin, you look tired come on we can take you home." Jeremy's window was down and Ter nodded.
"Yes please Mom!" he begged, my mom looked at Ter and the rest of us.
"Okay then, if it's alright with them." She looked back and I couldn't see him but the man driving mumbled a few words. "Okay kids in the back!"
Jurry looked uneasy and he glanced at me, but Jeremy had already opened the door and was pulling me inside.
So the real Raven is full of monsters, this will be fun. My thoughts went to the woods, and I felt the eyes of a predator. We will fit in nicely.
~Jeremy~
We had been in town for a simple reason, my aunt was on a business trip, and we got hungry. We didn't expect to find the new kids wondering about, let alone being taunted by the Raven Wolf.
Nevertheless there they were, but to my surprise they didn't even look shaken, and now Lin was sitting next to me her arm and legs pressed closely to me due to the tight space in the back seat.
"Lin, are you okay?" I asked a low whisper so her talking brothers couldn't hear, she turned to me and smiled.
"Yeah, why wouldn't I be?"
I felt myself grin, "you have been confronted by the Raven Wolf and that's all you have to say?"
"The what now? A wolf?"
"Yeah the Wolf that guards the forest, he is not to fond of newcomers." Lin laughed lightly.
"I got that," she laughed even more, "I think the growling and stalking gave that away." She teased.
