Lindal was still shaking and taking deep breaths as I drove, did I scare her that much?

"Hey Gerak, did uh did you get hurt while fighting?" I felt her hand tug at my sleeve, and I glanced down, there was nothing there.

"Not that I know of, why?"

"J-ust curious." Lindal looked pale with her eyes closed and her fists clenched tightly.

"You okay there Lindal?"

"F-fine I'm good" she took a deep breath and opened her eyes again and nodded to herself.

"Hey do you trust me?" my mouth asked before my brain could shut it up, Lindal looked confused and slightly curious.

"Should I?" the comeback question made me think and I didn't answer.

Never heard that one before.

"Gerak, I don't know what this silence means should I be scared?" her voice held teasing and when I glanced her way she was smiling, "because if you're planning something I wouldn't like I think I'll just." She pretended to open the door and jump out.

I felt myself wanting to laugh at her, or with her? "No don't worry you'll love this." I turned down a dirt path off the main road and kept driving.

"Uh huh, Gerak where are we going?"

My lips tugged into a smile, "my place."

She laughed lightly, "you have a place?" I nodded.

"We have at least an hour long drive down this road then a ten minute walk through the woods." I heard Lin sigh shortly.

"I knew it."

"Knew what?"

"That you're planning on killing me once we get there." her voice was plain and matter-of-fact, and I found my face had taken on a grin that is quite common around Lindal.

"Nah I wouldn't go through this trouble to kill you, remember I am your knight with green eyes." I teased using the nickname she had called me the day she and her family had dinner with us. Her laugh was more of a giggle.

The drive wasn't as awkward as I had thought it would be, in fact it was really fun, and by the time we had gotten to the forest trail she was no longer as tense or nervous. I climbed out of my car and closed the door, Lindal was slower and she gazed at the tall trees.

"Come on," I grinned and started walking I heard the car door close.

"Uh okay, but if you kill me I would like you to know my brother's are scarier than they look." she warned with a straight face as she followed, I walked under a tree branch and held it up for her, then when she was under it I let it go and she ended up with a branch in her face.

"Gah Gerak!" she laughed and tried to push me, but to no avail.

"Sorry," my laugh seemed nearly uncontrollable, "I couldn't help it" we kept walking, for about ten minutes and when we arrived to my place she stopped in front of me and gasped. My place   just so happened to be on the edge of a cliff looking over the entire forest, and Raven. There was a huge waterfall to the left, and nothing but empty space to the right, the forest was lush and green and from here we could see the busy streets of Raven as only tiny details among the green trees and mountains.

"The sky seems endless up here!" She cheered though she didn't move to go any further.

"You know you can walk right? Unless you're afraid." Lindal looked back at me and huffed.

"I only fear one thing thank you very much!" Lindal took a few steps forward and I followed.

"Let me guess, a fear of people?"
