"This sucks!" I yelled with clenched teeth as I picked myself up and looked at my muddy knees. This day HAS to be against me! On my walk back home, naturally it started to rain, and I slipped and fell in the only spot on the sidewalk that was muddy.
"Great now there is blood" I growled looking at my hands as well. The sky seemed to have needed to release all of it's water from the last decade, "Of course it rains, I mean why wouldn't it rain?" I found myself shuffling my feet and glaring at the ground.
"Hey! Hey Lindal!" I heard a slightly familiar voice call to me so I looked up at the road next to me, through the thick rain I could barely make out the black truck with the window rolled down. The boy yelling looked like Fred from her last class.
"Yeah?" I yelled still not able to see him clearly.
"Do you want a ride?" He asked, it was a tempting offer but I was almost home as it was.
"No I..." My mouth shut as my feet walked to the truck and my hands opened the door, What the... it seemed that only my thoughts were my own, because my mouth was saying something I didn't tell it to. "Hey thanks it's getting crazy out there." My voice seemed smoother and flowed freely as my hand closed the door after I climbed in.
Fred's expression looked as though he had won a battle, "yeah you're welcome, but weren't you just..." He trailed off then shrugged, "So where do you live?" He asked kindly. His eyes looked around like he was looking for something.
"Oh pretty far up the road." My voice said in a quite seductive tone. Snap out of it Lindal! I screamed at myself, but the next words that came out of my mouth was something completely different. "So you got a girlfriend Fred?"
"Uh no not at the moment." Fred started driving again, he was still looking around for something.
COME ON LINDAL MARIA! I Closed my eyes, finally something my body responded to! It was a great effort to move my own hand up to my face, and slap my rain soaked cheek.
"Lindal?" Fred asked surprised he kept glancing at me and then back out the window.
"I'm okay," I lied and looked out the window "uh where are we?"
Now Fred looked pale, "are you okay Lin?" He asked staring at her with wide cautious eyes, he looked more surprised now then when I was acting like a hoe. He then reached his hand to my face, and touched my cheek with his fingertips. I had the sudden urge to lean into his hand and to, well , go with it.
But that's not what my fire inside wanted me to do, and of course I trust the fire and spark more than the hormones. I hit his hand away, closing my eyes, "I suggest you let me out of this car before I get angry." I heard my voice growl slightly.
"What, that's not..." He didn't get to finish his sentence because the car stopped suddenly, I opened my eyes to see Jurry pushing his hands up against the truck's front bumper. His eyes were a sky blue and he was glaring at Fred through the misty glass of the window. "What the..."
that sentence was cut short as well when the side window burst open and Ter's hand grabbed Fred's shirt and pulled him out ripping the door from it's hinges along with him.
"What took you so long?" I asked as Ter's head came into view with a sharp toothed grin and lizard-like blue-yellow eyes. I grinned as well, I knew my eyes had changed color as well, after all that is what they do when magic is involved.
"Sorry we were, waiting to see how long it took for you to break his stupid spell." Ter teased. "We even took bets"
"I gotta say, it took you longer than I thought it would." Jurry yelled, I looked past Ter directly at Fred. He was laying on the ground soaked to the bone and his eyes held only fear.
