Rylee's POV:
I wake up to the sound of Sam's alarm for the 4th day in a row. Every night I go to bed with Toby only to wait for him to leave so I can sneak over to Sam's garage apartment. Every night I expect him to make a move and every night all he does is hold me in his arms until I fall asleep.
This morning is like all the rest. Sam's arm is around my shoulders, my head is on his chest, and my arm is across his stomach. I lift my head to look at him and I smile. His hear is slightly messed up and he is sleeping peacefully. I carefully slide out of his bed and set his alarm for 5 minutes later. I walk to the house and pull out the dress I'm supposed to wear to his sister's wedding in 3 hours. I throw on a pair of Sam's sweats that were in the dryer and I start breakfast.
About 10 minutes later I hear the door open and close and then a set of arms wrap around me. I turn my head and kiss Sam on the cheek breathing in his scent. He has fixed his hair and has on jeans and a t-shirt.
"Why didn't you wake me up? I would have helped with breakfast." He whispers in my ear.
"You looked so peaceful I didn't want to wake you up." I tell him. I put the eggs and bacon on plates and sit down at the table. Sam grabs 2 cups and pours me a glass of milk and a glass of orange juice for himself.
"So are you ready for my sister's wedding later?" He asks me between bites of food.
"I'm kinda nervous to be honest. I hope she likes me." I tell him blushing and looking down at my food.
He puts a finger under my chin and forces me to meet his eyes. "Don't worry about that at all. I know without a doubt that she will love you. She has never met a person she doesn't get along with. Baylee has a good heart, and she was always my dad's favorite." He says with a hint of jealousy in his voice that makes me laugh.
He smiles at me and we eat the rest of the meal over small talk.
***
I look at myself in the mirror in my new dress. It's a beautiful aqua color with half sleeves slit down the top. There is a silver belt and silver heels to go with it. It makes me look skinner than I really am and it gives me just the right amount of shape. I'm startled when Sam walks into the room.
I turn around to face him, and I gasp. He is dressed in a dark grey suit, his white shirt and aqua tie look amazing and I can't help but stare. He stands there for a minute letting me stare before he clears his throat, "Like what you see?" He asks.
I blush and look down before nodding. He walks over to me and kisses the top of my head before whispering in my ear "You look absolutely stunning." making me shiver with happiness.
"You don't look so bad yourself. I have never tried to picture you like this before, but I think I like it." I tell him turning around to wrap my arms around his neck. He kisses me gently and picks me up spinning me around. I giggle and he puts me down.
"Are you ready to go Miss Rylee Kane?" He asks using my full name for the first time. He steps back offering me his arm.
"Yes I am Mister Sam Dalton." I reply and take his arm as we walk out of the room and down the stairs. Toby hired a limo to take us to his sister's wedding. We get to the garden it is going to be held in about 40 minutes early. Everyone is running around fixing last minute details. There are flowers everywhere. White rose bushes surround the entire garden and daisies and tulips climb the columns that are in the front and the back of the garden.
There are flower petals everywhere, and honeysuckle covers the arbor where the couple will stand. The chairs are covered in orange cloths and tied down with yellow ribbon. There is a yellow cloth spread down the aisle for the bride to walk on. The orange and white petals look beautiful against the yellow. Everything flows together beautifully.
