Hey guys. It's been a long time.
I started writing this fic the summer before freshman year. I'm 22 now but I was 14 then and really big into the splatoon manga for several years. I was also a pioneer of my time since I was basing this off of the fan translations, as the VIZ media scans had only just started to come around.
I had plans for this fanfic with no end goal. A few of you caught on that Aloha was going to serve as an antagonist. As I was writing, my OTP slowly transitioned from gorai to alorai. There was a popular splatoon artist named stickers at the time that really popularized this pair, and I quickly jumped ship because I was happy to finally have more ship options instead of only gorai.
I have some drafts that have been sitting there unpublished since 2020. The plot was going to have Goggles and Rider's relationship continuing to develop as Aloha got in the way. Aloha also had a crush on Rider, so he was supposed to "tempt" him into cheating on Goggles. Typical soap opera shit. However I didn't draft the build-up, only the cheating and the smut, cause I was impatient and really wanted alorai.
I'm publishing the two chapters I had drafted, following this one right now. Beware, it's messy, and I'm probably not planning to finish it any time soon. Don't go in with any expectations. I just thought I'd just treat you guys to something instead of leaving it there for no one to read.
