Chapter 5

Callie's POV: I walk up to Mer's door and let my self in. I'm glad she moved back into her old house all those years ago. I love this house.

"Hellooooo?" I yell and then hear footsteps running to me from the kitchen.

"AUNTIE CALLIE!!!!!!!!!" Bailey and Ellis yell and jump into my arms

"Hey guys! How was camp? Fun?" I ask. I love these kids so much. I'm kinda sad that Mia and I didn't have any more kids but she really didn't want anymore. Ellis starts to talk but she has so much to say and starts talking really fast so I only get bits and pieces. She's got dark hair and bright blue eyes, just like Derek.

"And then there was a spider in our cabin and it was SUPER scary and I screamed and it was so so scary but I got really brave and killed it." Ellis says proudly.

"Wow. That sounds like so much fun. What was it like for you, Bailey?" I ask.

"It was really cool. I learned how to wakeboard." He says nonchalantly.

"Dang. You are getting to cool for us, huh kid?" I joke and Bailey laughs. "So you guys had a good time I take it?"

"The best!" Ellis yells and I laugh. I stand up and start to walk to the kitchen, both kids right on my heels. I walk into the kitchen and see Zo and Meredith getting plates out from the cupboards.

"Auntie Callie!" Zola says as soon as she sees me and gives me a huge hug.

"How are you? How's school?" I ask her. Her and Sofia go to the same school so I pretty much know what's going on with her but I still ask her anyways.

"School is school." She laughs. "Where is Sof?"

"With Arizona and Carly. Her grandparents are in town so they went to dinner tonight." I explain.

"Oh yea. She told me that today in math class. I think we are going to the mall tomorrow." She says.

"I hope she is using her own money." I joke.

"Ok! Who wants pizza? We got sausage, pepperoni, pepperoni and sasuage, cheese, and of course Hawaiian." She says and looks right at Bailey. He smiles and grabs two slices and runs into the living room. Everyone grabs pizza and goes to find a comfy spot in the living room. We decide to watch The Wizard Of Oz. I honestly can't believe that the kids like this movie. It's so old, but it's a good one. While we are watching the movie, Ellis comes up next to me and climbs on my lap and falls asleep halfway through the movie. Soon after, we see Baileys eyes close. Meredith and I carry the kids up to their rooms and put them to sleep. Zola is still wide awake so the three of us indulge in some chocolate and gossip.

"Ok. Ok. Ok. So you are going over to Arizona's, who is your ex wife whose wife doesn't not particularly like you, house with your wife to play cards and drink wine and you find nothing weird about it?" Zola asks me. Sometimes I can't believe that she is 16. She wiser that her years.

"See??? Told you!" Mer yells and takes a sip of wine.

"Seriously?!?" I ask them.

"Seriously." They say in unison and give me the "you-know-that-i-am-right-look" that both of them are experts at.

"So should I cancel?" I ask.

"You can't cancel now!" Zola says. "You already committed."

"Agreed." Meredith says.

"So what do I do?" I ask.

"Do you want to take this or should I?" Zola asks her mom.

"Go for it." Mer laughs and tosses a chocolate into her mouth and I laugh at her.

"Ok so you go to Arizona's house and play cards and drink wine, but do NOT stay past midnight and do NOT drink too much." Zola says and looks between her mother and I with her eyebrows raised, waiting for approval of her idea. Meredith thinks for a bit then nods her head. "Yes!" Zola yells.

"Shhhhh!" I joke. We laugh and grow quiet. "Wait." I pause. "What do I do about Carly?" I ask. Zola and Meredith both think hard for a couple of minutes.

"I got nothing." Zola says.

"Mer?"

"Ummmm... Maybe you should try to start a conversation with her. Try to find out things that you have in common with each other." Mer suggests.

"The only thing we have in common is Arizona-" I cut myself off. "What if that is the reason she hates me?"

"What? That you were married to Arizona?" Mer asks.

"Yea. I mean I had a whole life with her. 8 years that we were together. Maybe she wanted those years." I say. Zola and Mer are quiet for about 5 minutes.

"Nah." Zola says. "Not to change the subject but I have no clue what dress I am going to wear for prom." Zola keeps talking but I can't focus. Does Carly hate me because I had a life with Arizona? Does that mean she hates Sofia too?
